Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

beautiful outfits :)

Same here, I really like this dress. No offence to Bunto fans but some of her stuff comes off very tacky but this one is very lovely. Although I would personally go for a much simpler dress myself when the times comes lol.

Do you have any more pictures, where did u get these from??

everything is beautiful but…would it kill to crack a smile?

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I've seen the actual event pictures and she was smiling. Maybe she's not just for the photo session?

I love this!! Great work alyshba :))!!
Mine is for 450,000 so if this is for 500,000, maybe mine could look like this, especially since I’m not using french net? I LOVE the kaam on it! I think I’m going to show this picture to Bunto khala and ask her that I want it replicated, just to be on the safe side!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Good choice^^
That's my favorite Bunto so far. I love the long-sleeves w/ the v-neck. Do you think a panch lara haar would be OTT? what kinda jewelery are you going for? Anything heirloom? I'm not getting married anytime soon but I will be wearing my mom's tikka & jhoomar along w/ her guloband. Can't wait!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Bunto Kazmi is a genius, I love how she uses a gota-kaam type kapra to wrap it. Very old-school of her.

Haye, I cannot get over her now. >.<

Re: Bunto Kazmi’s Designs

i was never really a fan of bunto until very recently alyshba and other girls posted up pictures of her recent creations. they are really beautiful and eye-catching but i cant help but notice the similariyies. a different colored shirt matching with the dupatta, a different colored gharara with yet another colored farshi part…and most of them are full-sleeved her dresses are gorgeous, dont get me wrong, but im really confused here. i absolutely love her color pallete but because of these similarities i will look like just another bunto brides. i mean its okay to have a signature style but she really is only playing with colors and mo tifs. everything else appears the same. i really want a one of a kind dress. so help me guppans…what should i pick? a one of a kind dress by some other designer or a beautiful but predictable bunto dress?

Oh wow, I agree with you. The brides all look same. Nothing is much different than colors and some designs. You know for sure its by Bunto because of everything being so similar.

Can you design something on your own??

@Giggles: Check your inbox facebook inbox hun !!
Giggles this outfit is more thn 500,000 !!
I have my shirt on french net !! Do you think it wont look good ?!?
I dont think you need to show her the pic hun i am 100% sure your outfit will be gorgeous  InshAllah !!

Re: Bunto Kazmi’s Designs

I think her distinct style just lends an air of elegance to a bride.

Her work is beautiful…

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Exactly^^
Every designer has a signature trademark which is why they have people going to them over some other designer. Brides who go to her want a traditional/regal/timeless look w/ quality work. I think every Bunto bride wants to look like a Bunto bride. And I personally never thought ANY Bunto bride looks the same. They just look like Bunto brides, which is the point.

I will do, just got back from thailand so busy catching up on things :)! I'll reply soon :)!
No, I think french net will look AMAZING! It has the best quality and fall to it, I couldn't afford it though because it was increasing the price of my jora by PKR 80,000. So it would make me go over my budget! But InshaAllah I hope it's gorgeous like you say :)!!

I agree. She has a very unique style and when you think about it, even HSY, Karma, Sana Safinaz etc, all do their own thing and do it super well. Think of how many times people ask us to identify a bridal and we can pinpoint it with complete accuracy. Bunto's signature style is the very regal, old world farshi; Karma do contemporary bridal wear really well, Nilofer Shahid does elegance like nobody's business etc.

i can...i mean in my mind i have...i usually dont buy designer dress unless its a piece of excellence...like if i will make any more changes in it it will just get ruined. but usually im the type who picks up things from here and there and some of my own ideas and put them together to create something very different. and thats why im confused about bunto. for my wedding i want a maroon dupatta, shirt and sharara with purple farshi...and a little bit of emerald here and there...then i saw this bunto peice and i found myself in a dilemma.

Ok ya it is pretty and all, but does it look like worth paying 6 lakhs to wear for a day? absolutely not.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

^ I agree.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

it seems to me people here have a LOT of money. In lahore, for eg, all my friends' bridals were for 80,000 to 1.5lakhs. That Zara shahjehan girl were were discussing in another thread, I heard her wedding dress was for 80,000. People here spend like 500,000 on just the dress is amazing for me. I'm not preaching, I'm just commenting that its all too extravagant. I would make maybe a Rs 1 lakh dress and give the other three lakhs to charity or something. Sure I agree you only get married once, and one can do whatever they want with their money, but it just makes me shudder to spend so much when I know my driver's nine girls will be watching me on my wedding day and only Allah knows what they will be thinking.Ok guys, back to Bunto, my ranting is over. I'm just surprised at the amount of money people pay her (and other designers), thats all. Don't anyone take it personally:)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I totally agree w/ you, Sara^^
In Lahore, people spend more money on jewelery, I'm from Lahore so i'd know. I think in KHI the tradition of heirloom jewelery and whatnot is what makes Bunto so popular over there. I've yet to see a Lahori Bunto bride. Lahori brides opt for Karma and other contemporary designers. I often think it's the "Paindu complex" because Lahori/Punjabis are often worried about looking traditional and hence "paindu". =/
