i personally love it but i asked my family and friends and they dont approve of this!
her duppatta isnot french net... i will opt for net.. im going to bunto apa next week...

thanks

sorry i dont know how to attach a picture of her outfit here. im new to this forum

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I know which dress you are talking about and a lot of people loved that dress. However, bunto won't make a similar dress that is for sure. Its not her thing. She will change it.

As for the dupatta, yes, its not french net but it is cotton net and equally beautiful. In the end, its the color combo you chose. Discuss it with her, she will give you a better idea.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

nadia thankyou so much for your feedbak!

do u think i should go for cottonn net or french net. french i know would be costlier. but is it true that french net gives the entire outfit a more royal feel. i mean id rather go for cotton net than french net if it feels the same and looks the same as well.
ive never seen a bunto outfit in real

Bunto will show you her materials there and after looking at the French net you can choose what you like better. I visited her two weeks ago and I chose the French net shirt for about 50k extra, as for the dupatta I didn't want to spend another 50k for French net material so I opted for the local cotton net. Only difference is that the holes are bigger in the French net and the material is a Lott softer - but in my opinion it's not worth 50k extra. She said 90% of her clients choose the local cotton net :)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

True! iv'e seen a lot of family friends wear cotton net, and the royal look you want can be easily achieved by that. The royal look is not dependable on what kind of fabric you chose but more of how you wear the dupatta. Drape it nicely and make sure the kaam on the borders isn't wide because it then becomes a hassle to drape.

And missy just gave you a great example. You can always mix and match. Like get french net for the dupatta or the shirt. In my opinion, ive seen both cotton and french, in the end, its the way you carry it. Sometimes i've liked cotton net dresses more the french net and vise versa. Have a look at the old picture in this thread, the ones in which the arms arent that visible are cotton and the ones that are, are french.

Don't worry, once you go to bunto, she will help you out and touch the fabric, look at it and make a decision. I am sure you will look lovely:-)

Re: Bunto Kazmi’s Designs

I wonder if the half-white is bunto

Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Btw they already started cutting my material so now they can't make a farshi gharara :( it's ok thought I always had a lehnga in mind - as long as I have my 5 yard dupatta :)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

What is the difference between a farshi gharara and normal gharara? I know they have seperate cloth for the legs whereas the lengha is a skirt with no dividder between the legs.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Oh missy don't worry, this is the beauty of a long shirt :-) You wont see much of a difference. And even if its a small shirt, if you wanted a lehnda toh phir tension hi nahin.

Zephyrus - that is a bunto dress

Pinkgrapefruit - the main difference between a regular gharara and a farshi is that the "gote" is lower (mid calf) on a farshi, and a regular gharara's "gote" is at the knees.
the second difference is a farshi gharara is made from 6-8 metres of fabric, whereas a regular gharara is made from 4-5 metres of fabric. so a farshi will have a lot of gheyr. ( This was explained by somegroovychick way back and i find this the best description).

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

normal gharara is made using 7.5y fabric. it has 16 panels above the gote (this ends above the knee) and it has 3.5y flair for each leg. The flair sts equally on all sides on the floor with no trail.

farshi gharara needs minimum 12y of fabric and it is a tailed gharara with lower gote.

a gharara without a trail but a lower gote is called a rajhistani gharara btw :)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I love learning new things like this from this forum! I'd seen all these things, but never knew the correct terms and details to be able to explain to a 3rd person what I was referring to. Thanks :)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Ahh got it. Thanks so much!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

to anyone who was overseas and ordered a bunto jora - would you email them after you made your order to get updates and pictures of the kaam they did so far? Starting to get anxious and nervous .. and I have to wait till September to actually see it!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

It's in Bunto's hands. Trust her, don't be nervous or anxious- it's guaranteed to be gorgeous. I'm sure if you email, they'd be happy to keep you updated. Just be polite and patient. No one likes being on the receiving end of an irate bride's temper :)
