she had such amazing materials! I only had one day in Karachi & I was running extremely late for my appointment due to some security issues in karachi - I reached at around 5:15 and was really worried that she would be rushing but she took her time and we went through everything together! she was really nice and listened to exactly what I wanted but was still stern on how she makes her outfits. She had a huge closet full of materials which were just AMAZING quality and we went through the colors and the type of materials together. I wanted red and coral but she wasnt to keen on the combination so I let her choose the colors as obviously she knows better than me (red shirt/dupatta with rust lehnga and sea green/turquoise piping). what Im so excited about is that I was able to have french net shirt with my budget! she showed me an imported net material for my dupatta for around 50k extra but I really wasn't willing to pay that much- local net is fine with me. After giving my measurements I saw some outfits that she had - they were beautiful! a lime green shirt that she said is for someones mehndi (for around 3 lakhs). we were asking her ranges for formal wear ( we weren't going to order but just wanted to get an idea ) she said that she cannot make new orders and shes booked till 2014, I'll be going again in Sept inshallah for my final fitting :)
Am curious as to why she did not want to work with red and coral. Have seen a number of Bunto brides in the past (including her own daughter in law and daughter in law's sister) with this exact color combination--what was her reasoning behind this????

I chose to have a lehnga because my dupatta will be 5 yards long - I dont know how I will be able to carry that along with the farshii gharara - although now I kind of wish I chose a gharara - I’m not sure if I can make any changes now

I dont really know what local french net is like for me to compare - I dont live in Pakistan and really dont know anything when it comes to materials.
I’m not exactly sure why she didn’t like the coral color idea - I forgot her reasoning because there was so much I was doing at once, maybe she has her own idea of how she wants my outfit to be and I basically told her that she can choose whatever she wants as she obviously knows much better than me.
But do you guys think the red shirt/dupatta with rust lehnga and sea green piping will look good?

Missy, i know how it feels when you don't get your own way but did you tell her strongly that you want the coral color combo?. If she still said no, knowing the dresses bunto makes, she surely must have thought you would look great in it, also coral and red can be a very in your face combo. Choosing colors is not just about your favorite color, its about your complexion, your height and weight and all things combined. And not to confuse you, but a gharara would've been a mucchhh better option in my opinion. As for the colors, i think you will look great in i., I kind of imagined the colors in my head and it loooks good :-) Afterall, you will be wearing a bunto and she never goes wrong with a dress. Don't worry and look gorgeous.........!! :-)

5 yard dupatta and farshi would have looked fab.. and its not diff to carry.. but im sure bunto has something great for u in mind :))

Go for a farshi now, give her a call and get it changed. Coral and red has been done a lot now, the bunto red never fails to Impress. I just love her chatapatti sleeves, are you getting those?

I emailed fizza - lets see what she says... I don't know what chatapatti is but my sleeves will be elbow length. I cant have long sleeves because i'll have some jewelry and i hate short or 3/4 look, so elbow length is good for me :)
