Brutal and Melodic

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Neither did I, that was the only one on the CD I would skip

Re: Brutal and Melodic

How about "The Bitch is Back" ?

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Like i told you when i met you get him some Vintersorg, Brimmour Dor and Nightwish (only a unique opera voice)

To add Nile is an excellent Death metal band from the US. Tool is a great band if want soft voices and good heavy metal. Though i don't consider them death metal.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Ok no offense but Guns and Roses was not rock. Hell Def Leappord was more rock then Guns and Roses. GnR is good old Glam. Pure and simple.

Now the original aerosmith stuff and Deep purple they are nice rock bands. Smoke on the Water still kicks ass 20 years later.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Dear CM,

You don’t know what Glam was and you don’t know what GnR were.
And, you really don’t know what you are talking about.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Great why don't i even bother. Ok shall we discuss the various genres of rock/metal? GnR is not rock. It mixes along the lines of Posion, Warrant and Great white. Those guys were Glam Rock. AC DC is good old Rock.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Godsmack....Muse (borderline)

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Minah I listen to Metal, Hard Rock and Alternative..howeve Death Metal and them swedish bands are a whole genre by themselves...if you take a listen you'd know. :)

As for the what is creative can only come from God lecture..well...I can go on to tell you how death metal has recitations of verses from Black Mass etc..

Re: Brutal and Melodic

Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all,
Or if he moves will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We’ll just pass him there
Why should we even care?

He was turned to steel
In the great magnetic field
Where he traveled time
For the future of mankind

Nobody wants him
He just stares at the world
Planning his vengeance
That he will soon unfold

Now the time is here
For iron man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once saved

Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge

Heavy boots of lead
Fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron man lives again!

Opps...I forgot to mention..

Iron Maiden.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

we know what death metal is, post his music and let people decide,
every father enjoy's his son's music even if it's as bad as a dog barking

Re: Brutal and Melodic

There are so many different genres of Black Metal and Death Metal these days that it's hard to differentiate the two. However, the general differences between Black Metal and Death Metal are quite audible.

Black Metal is usually depicted by high pitched screeching vocals, extreme musical speed, and sub-par production qualities. Black Metal usually dwells on anti-Christian themes. Norway for many years has been a center point for many Black Metal bands. Their anti-Christian themes stem from the fact that Vikings were forced to adopt Christianity. The Norweigan church burnings were the result of this

Death Metal on the other hand usually contains growling vocals, and music which is by far more intricate and complex than Black Metal. The music is usually a lot better produced, and their themes are more political than religious.

Both, Death Metal and Black Metal, and not to mention Thrash and Speed metal were pioneerred by one band, Venom. These days both Black and Death metal sounds have been mixed and matched. There are many great, talented Black/Death metal bands out there from all over the world.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

I first listened to Venom some 7 years ago and thought of them as some wannabe metal band :--p Liked the sound but not all that much. I like Gothic and Doom Metal more and the -nia bands like Tristania, Katatonia.

Re: Brutal and Melodic

I just can’t wait for the new Venom album.
