brother and his irritating girlfriend

Re: brother and his irritating girlfriend

^kaun, i'd say you're in the minority too (in my experience), my husband is along with you. he is one of 5 brother's. only he and one brother were/are prepared to do this. the other 3 are total mummy's boys.
even my dad fought for my mum but a most of my cousins would give into the emotional blackmail or not even go there.

as you said, some were successful. what about the others? they gave in to their parents most likely.

well some gave in, and some made big enough mistakes where they lost who they were fighting for ;) and thus parents got wat they wanted to some extent.

don't i know it. my hubby's mum tried everything. he'd never admit it but we know my FIL has respect for mr.stoppit and me that we stuck through it.

some support atleast from one parent is always good, but i toughed it out even with both against only to screw it all in the end :hehe:

But its always nice to hear when someone did get what they wanted :k: goodluck.

Re: brother and his irritating girlfriend

^well, that wasn't always the case but he had valid concerns about me before he got to know me. once he got to know me (and saw that i put up with his wife's crap) he was on side. MIL on the other hand just wanted to know her son would choose her over anyone else and thought making our lives hell would help.

but ufff... poor (and silly!) you. and thanks :)

lol, mothers will be mothers, they always see their son`s choice as a competitor who is trying to take over their turf, thus the oldest rivalry of mankind.

P.S as far as my story goes, well … no regrets now and content with life so … :k:

Re: brother and his irritating girlfriend

Just tell your bro that you dont want his influence on the lil sis...thats all you can do since you are just worried about you sis....not really his dating habits.
