I’m not sure if this is appropriate forum to post this, but it has to do with religion. BTW, this woman is going through serious emotional problems & I’m not sure if this is the right path for her to take now.
LONDON (Agencies) - Britney Spears is planning to marry her paparazzi lover Adnan Ghalib, and convert to his faith, Islam, it has been revealed.
According to sources, the ‘Toxic’ singer has been telling pals how much she loves Ghalib, and that she’s intent on tying the knot with him.
Britney has even been threatening to fake her own death to start a new life with him in Pakistan, reports British newspaper Daily Star. A close pal revealed that the troubled singer wants the ceremony to be conducted by a minister from the Church of Scientology, adding that her ‘whole clan is in a state of shock’.
Britney is said to have announced her ‘exciting news’ last week on a beach in Mexico, where she fled by private jet with Ghalib.
Spears, who has been married twice before, is believed to be adamant on getting hitched with Ghalib, despite several warnings from her close friends and aides.
“She’s been told it would be an act of insanity to marry this man. She says she’s doing it and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks,” the newspaper quoted a source, as saying.
“Britney has been in this position before but she can’t seem to stop herself. It’s amazing that after two failed marriages she’s about to go through it again,” the source added.
Spears has been previously married to childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander and rapper Kevin Federline.
It may sound like a bad thing to say, but one must really ask her some difficult questions before requesting her to do Shahadah! ... should this article be true.

I don't think this is true....and even if it was, would it really help her to convert to Islam? or is she just going to make a mockery of it? at this point, it's no good ot laugh at her, she has real serious mental troubles. maybe if after rehab and everything she still wnats to, good for her..but right now, its just BS
As I said no one should take Shahadah from her untill they are sure she knows what she is doing. Islam is a Faith and not a mockery, that is the reason why there are harsh punishments for apostacy. People giving willy nilly Shahadas from folk can be responsible for this also.
I figured she'd do this. Is this news confirmed though? I'm going to check in some other newspapers. Maybe its fiction.
psyah: Leave the judging up to God, ok? You're not in a position to decide who gets executed and who doesn't. I don't think you necessarily know what's in this girl's heart, and what she's going through. There is some immunity in Islam for those with mental health issues, and so how the heck do you know what God really thinks of her? Sheesh, just pay attention to your own neck, will ya, before passing judgement statements on others.
PCG, you should read the article more closely. First tell what kind of muslim do you expect a Paparazzi to be who is famous chasing Britney spears. Then if she were to accept Islam because of him, imagine what kind of Islam that would be and how it would propel an image of Islam given her popularity that is not true. True Allah SWT guides who he wills but I don’t really see it here just because the word Islam is being thrown around.

First off, I don't know whether this news is just tabloids or true confirmed news. Therefore, on that basis alone, one should really keep their trap shut before announcing their judgements on people. Its possible its all made up, and she has no plan to convert to anything.
Secondly, in the event that this news is true, again, I ask you - who are you to determine who can convert into Islam and not? How many people convert into Islam just for the sake of being allowed to marry a muslim person and to save face in the community, and meanwhile, they have not really converted within themselves? I know so many desi guys who have married white women, "converted" them, and those women do absolutely nothing to raise their kids Islamically, nor do they practice Islam. They just "converted" to make his parents happy. Do I see the same call for "apostasy" on these folks? No. She's a celebrity, so people are now going to go after her tooth and nail. And as usual, someone who probably was in dire need of support and guidance, will turn away from Islam telling the world that "these guys are just a bunch of wackos".

Aray behna, I am thinking before I talk. Its you who did not read my post. I am not commenting on her but her BF. I too have seen many examples where our loose character muslim guys marry non-muslim girls only to loose their religion if they had it to begin with. If you still did not get my point no use spending my brain power with you.
Allah SWT guides who he wills and leads astray who he wills. If she is to become muslim I would prefer in at the hands of someone more credible or one who in himself cannot be considered a blot on Islam. But Inshallah! If she really had a change of heart then what an example it would be. Maybe she can lead her BF to better judgement.
