“We weren’t expecting this from them and there was no prior warning. I don’t intend to appeal to them or answer the letter.”

The email from FreedomCall said, **“As a result of the Israeli government action in the last few days we will no longer be in a position to consider doing business with yourself or any other Israeli company.” **
MobileMax, established in 2004, produces a program providing cellular phones with inexpensive international service.

^since when did Israel own these companies?

I could boycott these companies but they aren't really solely Israeli companies. For example Coca cola has its plants in Pakistan too, so the Coke available in Pakistan is not coming from Israel. IBM is not Israeli company, they have branch in Israel but they also have business partners in Pakistan (and around the globe). Honestly, you need to sift thru the list and remove non-Israeli companies if you wish people pay attention to your post.

New York Human Rights Carolers Renew Call for Boycott of Leviev

Submitted by kole on Sat, 2008-12-27 22:54

December 20, New York, NY – Thirty human rights carolers braved the cold and ice today to serenade Manhattan’s holiday shoppers with a call, for the second year, to boycott the jewelry store and companies of Israeli settlement-builder and diamond mogul Lev Leviev. Leviev’s Madison Avenue store has been the site of 12 protests since it opened in mid-November, 2007, and protests against his businesses have spread to London, Dubai and the West Bank villages where he is building settlements. Additionally, during the past year UNICEF and Oxfam have renounced Leviev, major Hollywood stars have distanced themselves from him, and the governments of United Kingdom and Dubai are under pressure to boycott Leviev’s businesses.

The carolers, from the New York-based human rights coalition Adalah-NY and other groups, were accompanied in singing and chanting by a percussion section from the Rude Mechanical Orchestra. Hundreds of copies of the comic “Who is Lev Leviev?” (http://adalahny.org/index.php/component/content/article/217) were given to passersby, many of whom stopped to hear the parody holiday songs while carrying shopping bags from Madison Avenue’s most exclusive shops.

The most vigorously sung of today’s eleven parody holiday carols (http://adalahny.org/images/image/leviev_carols.pdf) included the following refrain, to the tune of “Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel:”
Oh, boycott, boycott, boycott, don’t buy Leviev today;
Funds crimes with all those profits, who needs diamonds anyway.
The carolers noted that their musical wish for Leviev, first expressed a year ago during holiday caroling, had been granted, as they again sang to the tune of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas:”
We wish you a loss of business, we wish you a loss of business, we wish you a loss of business, and a poor fiscal year;
Apartheid is how Leviev gets rich, screwing workers and Angolans throughout the year.

Riham Barhgouti from Adalah-NY explained, “During the last year, the value of Leviev’s company Africa-Israel has plunged dramatically, imperiling his worldwide business empire, and Leviev’s image has been badly tarnished by media attention to his companies’ settlement construction in violation of international law, as well as his human rights violations in Angola and Namibia. In the new year, we wish that Leviev and all human rights violators will again receive appropriate rewards for their actions.”

In the most recent blow to Leviev’s reputation, on December 19th Adalah-NY announced (http://adalahny.org/index.php/press-releases/268-celebrity-phote-leviev-website-removed) that, following complaints by at least four major Hollywood stars whose photos were posted on Leviev’s website, Leviev staff removed the entire Celebrities photo section from his website LEVIEV this week. The photos’ removal came after Adalah-NY and Jews Against the Occupation-NYC sent letters to and spoke with representatives for Salma Hayek, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore, Brooke Shields, Andie MacDowell, Lucy Liu, Whitney Houston and Sharon Stone, all of whose names and photos, apparently wearing Leviev jewelry, were featured in a Celebrities section of Leviev’s website.

Leviev’s companies Africa Israel and Leader have recently built Jewish-only homes on Palestinian land in the Israeli settlements of Zufim, Mattityahu East, Har Homa and Maale Adumim, impoverishing Palestinian communities like Bil’in and Jayyous and violating international law. Leviev also funds the settlement organization the Land Redemption Fund. In Angola, Leviev’s close partnership in the diamond trade with President Dos Santos supports a corrupt government. In December, the Israeli financial journal Globes published an expose of Leviev’s serious rights abuses and failure to fully comply with the Kimberley Process in Angola (“I was beaten until I fainted. When I return to consciousness it was dark. The next day I crawled back.” Testimonies from the mine in which Leviev is a partner. | Adalah-NY: The Coalition for Justice in the Middle East](http://adalahny.org/index.php/press-coverage-2/265-leviev-globes-angola-mines)).

And in Namibia, Leviev recently fired around 200 striking diamond polishers, some of whom were already struggling to survive on less than $2/day. In New York, Leviev’s real estate ventures in partnership with Shaya Boymlegreen have been associated with the displacement of lower- and middle-income families, prompting community and labor groups to organize against them.

Some of these companies, even if they are not in Israel, support Israel by financing it directly or indirectly !

Re: British telecom firm severs ties with Israel counterparts !!!

you can't really boycott every company that is somehow related to Zionists because they control everything. But you should try to find alternatives, if possible.

Re: British telecom firm severs ties with Israel counterparts !!!

I boycotted Coca Cola today. The vending machine wouldn't take my money. :(

Boycott in effect

**Begin to boycott what you can boycott ! **I know we cannot boycott everything but I am sure that we don't need goods like Coca-Cola, Mc Do, L'Oréal, Giorgio Armani, Ariel etc. Find alternatives , try to substitute them with others products !

Food retailers asked to remove Israeli goods

Sapa Published:Jan 07, 2009

SA food retailers have been asked to remove Israeli goods from their shelves, the Workers International Vanguard League said on Wednesday.

**"The request is made as a matter of urgency especially in the light of the current genocidal actions by the Israeli army in Gaza," the league said.

According to the league, it had written to the CEOs of Pick n Pay, Woolworths, Spar and Shoprite-Checkers, asking that no Israeli products be sold in their stores.**

"It’s mainly out-of-season fruit from Israel that the food retailers sell," said the league’s spokesperson Shaheed Mahomed.

This included naartjies, avocados, oranges and tomatoes, he added.

Spar told Sapa that it always worked according to government policy as far as trade was concerned.

Woolworths confirmed receipt of the letter from the league.

Neither Pick n Pay and Shoprite-Checkers could be reached for comment.

Shri Hollowman, these companies support Israel. They are not necessarily Israeli.
Their support to Nazi Israelis makes them complicit in the crimes of those barbarians.

These companies are providing jobs to millions of Muslims too. Its not a feasible way !

I go through some of the companies link you provided the main reason is provided for boycott is their investment in Israel. This doesn’t mean they are Jew companies !

Re: British telecom firm severs ties with Israel counterparts !!!

There are thousands of places where these Muslims can find jobs. Main point is that these companies support a racist country which commits crimes against humanity.

One should think about Palestinians at least as humans, if the word 'Muslim' irks one.

Re: British telecom firm severs ties with Israel counterparts !!!

So where is the boycott campaign against US, UK, France, Japan and tens of other countries who are part of coalition forces invading Iraq and Afghanistan and committing the same 'genocides'?

Living in state of denial will not solve anything, look for the reasons realistically why Muslims are butchered like this today.

When talking about 'state of denial', you must be talking about yourself.
While Zionist fascist enemies of Islam are massacring people without remorse, you are supporting companies who are financing their barbaric acts ... only because some Muslims work in those companies?
Where your sense of balance? Where is the sense of justice?

So do you agree that companies who finance massacre of innocent people should be supported by everyone?

6. These companies operate in Muslim countries providing Muslims with Jobs - isn’t boycotting them going to harm ourselves?
It is true that most of the companies on the list have operations in Muslim countries and employ Muslims who would loose their jobs if the companies collapsed or pulled out. **But we have to look at this as a opportunity, not a loss. **
Take the example of Coca-Cola in the middle east, the boycott has hit them so hard that their sales are down 60%. This has created an opportunity for a Muslim alternative, ZamZam Cola of Iran, which is owned by the religious charity the Foundation of the Dispossessed, to take Coca-Colas share of the market. Zam Zam Cola is struggling to keep up with demand - it exceeded all expectations by selling four million cans in its first week. It is now planning to expand by build factories in the gulf states, helping provide local employment. And for the first time even European countries like Denmark, are importing ZamZam Cola.
Similar success stories can be told of Sainsburys closer in Egypt in April 2001, which resulted in a blossoming of local stores which would not have otherwise survived in an unfair market monopolised by a foreign giant.
Also lets not forget that the reason why the multinationals have set up in Muslim countries is not out of benevolence for us, but rather exploitation. **Take the example of Delta Galil - the Israeli textile giant whos cloths are sold under the labels GAP, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, BOSS, M&S and DKNY among others. The Israeli company has factories in Jordan and Egypt in addition to Palestine. Their treatment of workers is such that Sweatshop Watch has denounced Delta-Galils exploitation of Arab labour, calling it a “Sweatshop Czar”. Is it really a loss to us to see such companies go? **

         ****7. Does the boycott work?****
**Oh yes! For example, one of the companies hardest hit by the boycott is McDonalds.**
**McDonald**s is a "major corporate partner" of the Jewish United Fund. In its own words, the Jewish United Fund "works to maintain American military, economic and diplomatic support for Israel; monitors and, when necessary, responds to media coverage of Israel." Also, McDonalds chairman and CEO Jack M. Greenberg is a honorary director of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

…]

**Other companies, disgusted by Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians have themselves actively joined the boycott. **
In May 2002 a US auto part export company refused to do business with Israel.
In a reply to a purchase order from Israel, John Harris, representing Texas Automotive Export wrote:
“We must inform you that Texas Export will not do business with Israeli citizens at this time. We urge you to rein in your military and stop your oppression of the Palestinian people,” the letter said. “Your country has lost the respect of the civilised world,” it concluded.

And your conclusion is based on what statement again?
