If this was a muslim that said this i suggest he read the quran [al-Maa’idah 5:51]

no one supports killing an unarmed man in the street but equally you cannot praise a so called soldier whose jobs was machine gunner on tanks in afghanistan killing other muslims.

If he is firing at people who are attacking his position, then he has every right, even according to Islam to defend himself, Muslim or not.
