mmmmm very interesting post here!!
ok, I was born and raised in London and have lived all my life here and so has my hubby. Infact our parents came to UK when they were around 15-16. In the beginning they never used to like it either but now they see UK as their SECOND HOME, after PAKISTAN. Ofcourse they miss it soo much they would rather live in Pakistan, but unfortunately only those can survive in pak who have the money.. Masha'Allah we have no problem in terms of that, but then they get held back by us kids because we have our own families here.
Even though i have lived all my life here, i love it in Pakistan. Yes there are a lot of people down here who are mostly from Mirpur and Jhelum, and sorry to say, but when their parents take them to towns and villages like those, ofcourse they will not like it!! Alhumdulillah we are from Islamabad and Lahore, so whenever we go Pak we absolutley adore it. :) Pakistan is the real paradise, if you have money!!! and that is the reality. The poor in pak hardly have any life :( So it all depends where you are originally from!! if you are from the city, you will love pak, but if your from a town or village, you wont.
I have many friends here who are from jhelum, and they hate pak. :@ they think that pak only has poor areas. sorry to say but i blame their parents who have not taught them anything about our country whilst living here. if they took their kids around different place, showed them the ups and downs, they they would appreciate what pak has.
How i see it is the no matter where i was born, here, i will still be considered as a 2nd class citizen, because this is how they see us. People sitting in pak think its so easy for us here, but after certain things life has changed here dramatically. :(
anyway, i love pak and despite i am a british, i am a pakistani too and a really proud one. :) MAY ALLAH SWT PROTECT OUR PAKISTAN! Ameen Suma Ameen. :)
I take offence to that. This is just the kind of attitude that prevents unity amongst us. Have you been to 'towns and villages like those' in Mirpur, Jhelum or any other part of Azad Kashmir? What do you know about the work that is being done back there? Contrary to popular belief Mirpur is the most happening city in the whole of AJK and Mirpur's surrounding areas aren't a big pile of dump full of shanty towns and paupers.
My parents are from a village close to Mirpur, AJK and I was raised there and in Mirpur and our 'not so pretty village' has produced Generals, Major-Generals and people in other walks of life; not bad for a sub standard village right!
