I'm not sure what the thread/subject is all about but,
I'm an ex resident of britain and have been all over europe and n.america
The preception of regular pakistanies in pakistan consider's 'britain/europe' a big deal.
Where as the fact remains that britain has a very high percentage of rascism and violence against visible minorities as well as those desis who are born in britain (Citizen class system).
This fact is now clearly being observed by Pakistanies in Pakistan.

Therefore get out while you can or paint 'red cross' over your roof or front door - lol :D

Re: Britain In the Eyes Of Pakistanies

for me its not more then PIND and people livin very backward life :sunnyboy:

Well i m just comparing the Life Style of HONG KONG , TOKYO and SINGAPORE
P.S. pls dont ask me why i m here .. its top secret :hehe:

hehe no no you are getting me wrong here!! I too have family members who are from jhelum. I am not saying people over there are bad or anything along those lines. My point was, the kids who are brought up here whose parents are from there they don't like it in pak. If you ask them the reason, this is what they say!! And believe me, they do, or is it just me hanging with the wrong crowd :s I mean i havent been to mirpur or jhelum myself, but i have heard that its a beautiful place and that many people from UK specially, have moved back there.

I didn't mean to offend anyone :( i am sorry if i did, but i think people who are on the same boat as me may understand what i am trying to say..............

ofcourse i love pakistan and i myself have lived in pak for a long time, infact i went to college there and i love it. anyway sorry to offend any of you ppl...........that was not my intention..............

ok talking on the topic now (sorry for that..lol)......as [EMAIL="P@GL"]P@GL said:- **they perceive it to be paradise hence why they're always looking for a girl with a red book in the back pocket **unfortunately that is true!! i may be wrong but the majority who do marry british girls/guys is totally for the nationality!!!

Bro nicely stated.

I know lots of kids from UK who go back to villages around Mirpur and love it there, as they can get what ever they want. All you need is money.

Property prices in Mirpur City some say are as high as Islamabad. Even in Islamabad Mirpuris have a very high ownership of property market.

Just to add about generals from Mirpur, some of these were retired General Raja Saroop Khan (ex governor of Panjab) and Raja Akbar Khan (Pakistani ambasador to the UK I think in 60's or 70's).

Moving on to the threads topic, I have a feeling that it's not just Pakistani's but peopel from third World in general regard Britain / Europe as a paradise where their dream of becoming rich can be realised.

If these people had the opportunity to enter Britain than most of them would not hesitate to take it up.

Just look at the number of bogus asylum seekers paying huge amount of money to agents so that they can enter these countries in order to get a better standard of life.

i know few families whose kids are born in aus and now are in their late 20s. parents rarely took kids to pakistan and mostly mother travelled to pakistan. now that they are told and have no connection with pakistan and once mother was telling my mum that she took her teenager daughter to pakistan to see her aunties and uncles, she didnt like it and only stayed for a week.
and kids have no connection with their family in pakistan.
its not really kids fault, its parents who never connected their kids to their roots.
we have been living here for more than 10 years still we want to move to pak and my parents are planning to move soon.

i dont see anything wrong with pinds. i have lived in a pind for a whole and my chachoo do live in pind, eventhough he is very rich.
i have seen a family whose kids were born and grew up in canada, but they built a huge house in their pind and moved there. even though kids were very excited about moving, but it was big step from cananda to a pind, any good city would have been better. a year later family moved back to canada.

hey my pind is close to SARAI-ALIMGIR.

they will do anything to get visa.

there are many pakistani people, claiming to be afghani and applying for asylum here as well or apply for refugees visas even though they are not genuine.
they decrese the chance of real refugees/asylum seekers getting visa.

Nice of you to mention him, General Raja Akbar Khan is from Callari and is a highly respected man. Re the rest of the topic, I think you have pretty much nailed it!

Yes you are right and I was aware of few people who were from Hazara area of Pakistan and spoke Pashto and were bogus Afghan refugees.

If these people can afford to pay so much to the the agents to enter Western countries, wouldn't it be sensible / easier for them to start some sort of business in their own country.

Do you know what I mean, I always nail it.

Yes I know General Raja Akbar Khan was from Callari, Mirpur and had a very good clean reputation.

My dad tells me that he used to visit his relatives in Birmingham near where we live and he mixed and mingled with people with no formality. Unfortunately he died whilst still serving as an ambassador?

Send them Canadian visa, please, then!

First thing to learn in life is that there is no such thing as 'silver bullet' for every thing. (There is no such thing as 'visa a la carte)

Canadian immigeration laws are quite simple and straight forward.
You score the points and are able to submit $1500-3000 then all you have to do is wait for your interview turn (approx 6 - 15 months) and vo'laaaaa !

This system eleminates maximum numbers of non-qualified or unsuitables.
However a vast number of P-assylum seekers have made their way into canada from the uS after 9/11.

Re: Britain In the Eyes Of Pakistanies

Thanks a lot for the information.

Re: Britain In the Eyes Of Pakistanies

wow I never thought my post would generate a big discussion!

I was really referring to people from Pakistan who were born and grew up there all there life especially in the pinds.

I think Pakistan has some wonderful places Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi and Murray up north. The pinds are a place of fun at times. The smell really gets to me when your out of your house smelling those chickens and cow dung!

The things I don't like about the pinds is the gang style culture. You don't get any privacy. I got married in a Pind and even at 5am me and my wife on our first few nights were getting spied on quite amusing but serious invasion of privacy. I think if that were to happen in Britain who could sue and press for charges.

The girls from the pind are really respectful, hard working, religious and good looking that's why I married one! well she's a half a Lahori girl!

The thing is when I was in Pakistan people kept asking me especially my wifes relatives when your going to send me to Britain and they always, kept asking what is Britain like etc etc. I tried to educate them that Britain isnt the only other place on the face of the planet! That there are other countries like Australia, USA, Japan, Dubai which some people consider better than Britain, but they fail to understand that and rely totally on Britain.

I think it's probably got to do with the links Pakistan has with Britain the services which doesn't have the same for other countries.
