Bride with interesting crown

Re: Bride with interesting crown

who r u? i was at her wedding. I know a crown is not a typical Desi thing to wear but she was being daring and new and I thought she looked good in it. Desi weddings should never become modernized to the point where you leave out Paki tradition but she had a Paki wedding and the only thing different was her crown. I wouldn't wear one on my wedding day but it did look good on her..

Re: Bride with interesting crown

No, that is not. It is a personal friend of mine. Where have you seen it??

Re: Bride with interesting crown

hmm i agrees she looked cool but kuch crown kay saath ban nahi raha .....i dont know why .....

Re: Bride with interesting crown

woah...too much going on....either shoulda been the crown w. small jewelry or big necklace w. no crown....
but good outfit colors.

Re: Bride with interesting crown

you posted it in another thread :p
And by pic of a pic i meant, looking at the quality of it (dark, grainy, slightly blurrY) that it was a digital picture of a photograph....

Re: Bride with interesting crown

Hey again. No,its just that I used a crappy camera but no worries I got a new one!

Re: Bride with interesting crown

um thats najias wedding and u shouldnt put her pics up without asking her

Re: Bride with interesting crown

hey i love dt crown thing

Re: Bride with interesting crown

can we stop calling it a crown and instead call it a tiara, which is what it is? lol
crown just makes me think of queens and kings and castles :P
also, crowns tend to be much larger than tiaras...

Re: Bride with interesting crown

the wedding day dress was nomi and i dont know what the valima was

Re: Bride with interesting crown

Probably these tiaras look good i am not sure i havent seen any bride wearing in real life - but i dont see myself wearing one even if its in i'd rather go the old way and wear a side tikka or a matha patti...

Re: Bride with interesting crown

eeekkhhh NEVER saw a bride wearing a taj in Pakistan!!

Re: Bride with interesting crown

aren't bridal dupattas made so that they looks embellished from the front (kind of like a crown) when pinned on the head??
i dunno it looks cute and all but i don't think i would do it

Re: Bride with interesting crown

i've een more pics of indians and bengali brides wearing those.

Re: Bride with interesting crown

I dont know I think it looks outa place compared to the other jewellery, maybe if it matched it sorta look better, but I like the jodha that she had on:)

Re: Bride with interesting crown

I like thw crown, very western looking

Re: Bride with interesting crown

Haven't seen a tiara wearing Pakistani bride until now but each bride wants to stand out on her big day and have their own ways of doing that.

Re: Bride with interesting crown

Don't like it. It just looks so "extra" like you're trying to mimic royalty.

Stick to a dupatta on your head or if you want to be white washed..then a tiara. A crown on the other hand is going to far.

It actually looks stupid and I'd be embarrased if I was related to the girl wearing the crown.

Small gold crowns like the ones that’re in the pics below are relatively common among Bengali brides (both Muslim and Hindu).

I personally think they look ridiculous but everyone has their own taste I suppose…

Here are two more examples…
