The rest of my siblings (immediate and extended) don't like the planned bride-groom mehndi dancing, the guys do planned dances all the time... Couples Prefer free styling once floor is open... Out of respect to families, etc.....
Personally, as long as their families don't care, who are we to judge... Everyone is celebrating in their own way... It's how I live, my family loves me, knows me, and if they are happy and don't care, to heck with the rest...
Life is too damn short to worry about what people think, they will move on to the next person to talk about the following day... Takes too much energy and time away from yourself to give In to worrying about others Whispers and thoughts...
This is my general thought, not directed to any video, person, etc.
No worries, to each their own opinion I’m of the school of thought of being respectful in front of elders, which would mean avoid overtly touching and feeling… But hey, nonetheless I guess i’m associated with shameless one for dancing.. I can live with that stigma.
Like I said before, I don't know what kind of dance you think people are doing at weddings lol. When me and my cousins danced at my cousin's wedding it was innocent and fun and we even went as far as to pick "non-suggestive" songs like those token songs in movies. .
I was not there at your cousin's wedding and don't know you and made no judgements about anything. My previous comment was generic and not personal to you or your cousins or your cousin's wedding. Surprised that you had to give an explanation that was not required.
Well, I personally wouldn't do it nor would I encourage others to do i either. Not because i'm 'conservative' or anything but simply because, islamically it's not allowed. I will be starting a new life and I want it to be full of blessing and the blessing of Allah is the most important IMO.
Just my 2 cents :)
beautifully and simply said. could not have said it better.
