Bridal & wedding shopping

Hi Guys,
I’m getting married next year and trying to get some research together for my wedding.
Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on where the best place to go for bridal wear in pakistan…Lahore or Islamabad.
My sister got married in August & her bridal outfit was absolutely beautiful from Lajwanti- Based in karachi but we actually bought it from their designer in Ilford. Anyway she’s not designing for them anymore & so I’m stuck because I have absolute no idea wear to go now. I mean, I know of all the top designers like HSY, Maria B, Sobia Nazir, Sadia Mirza etc But I also know how pricey they are. Any ideas on where else I can go to apart from expensive designers?

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

i knw about one shop in liberty lahore call ''saleem fashion or fabric i think, they r quite cheap compare to these big designers and one more designer saubia hassan, she’s quite reasonable prices and her work is elegent, but i m not sure whr exactly in lahore she is :teary1:

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Its called Saleem Fabrics....i dont think its a designer boutique though....i went there last yr....they have a lot of varitey....i found it a lot cheaper than Bareeze
you should def check it out

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

yeh tht's not a boutique, but as she dnt want to go for too expensive ones it wud be right place to go to

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Yeah they have bereeze in green street, I went to the one in Islamabad a couple of years ago- I bought quite abit back then. But I wouldn;t get anything from here. Anyway the other place - saleem fabrics do they have a website?
I've also heard of a place called Zardosi. Have you heard of it? is it any good? I saw an Ad in Libas.

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

HI!
u asked about Zardosi, right? Well lemme tell you they are the best!!! im speaking of my opinion!! We just got my sister-n-laws lengha from there and it is UNREAL!!!! they are a little pricey, but its worth every penny!! and actually they are really fast in making whatever you need! I would recommend them 100 %!! Now the rest is up to you!! Good Luck !!

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Oh my God really!? Thank you so much, I have heard that it's good. How much did you pay for the lehga? (if you don't mind me asking) do you have any pictures? My sister's outfit from Lajwanti cost £1,500 after hagling- But the actual cost was £1,800...it was absolutely gorgeous. So I'm kinda looking for something similar. How soon can they make the outfit? because I'm not going to be in pakistan for long so I need to get as much done as possible in less time.

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Oh do you have a website for zardosi?

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Do some online research …I only know about this website called Dulhan Expo…
www.dulhanexpo.com
If u r going to Pakistan for the shopping thn, relatives there r the best bet..Liberty Market or Anarkali is your bestbet too…Just Ask some of the dukaan daars …they r pretty helpful too..

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

My mother just came back from Pakistan she stayed their for a month and a half. She went for my wedding shopping. And OMG she bought some really nice dresses for me and my sisters. I swear they are all awesome. she bought most of my clothes from Fashion Zaree its on Tariq Road ,Mateen Center. I havent got my wedding outfits because I still have about 8 months to go. But I am planning to get it from the same place(fashion Zaree) they said they will make any outfit I want from catalog book or any picture I provide them with. They have catalog books as well so I will have them sent me catalogs first. Their quality of the material and kaam is so good and unbelievable and reasonable prices .. I got matcing Khussay and Jewellery as well. I am from india but I love pakistani fashion. About 10 outfits are party wear with light kaam and about 25 of them are just cotton and lawn. I loved all my outfits.

Re: Bridal & wedding shopping

Hi

I just got back from Lahore as i was shopping for my wedding too! I must say tho, if you want quality, you are going to have to pay for it! Saleem fabrics and Bareeze are ONLY fabric shops, not designers, just so you all know!

Maria B – Defence - 572 9799 (But i don't think their quality is great)
Sonia Design Concepts – Gulberg – 575 2554 (I didn't go to see this person)
Sarah Salman – Gulberg – 0300 857 4256 (I didn't go to see this person)
Mashaal Moazzam – New Garden Town – 5865079 (Mobile – 0333 4262998) (She's got ok stuff, but she is fairly new to designing)
Toshkhana (K-U-K-I Concepts) – Gulberg – 5758700 (Mobile – 0321 438 0499) (Quit nice stuff)
Beges – Gulberg – 575 1906 (Mobile – 0300 844 1906) (Good stuff)
Saadia Mirza, Gulberg, Lahore - 92 (42) 575 9099 or 0300 948 2100 (Ok stuff)
HASSAN SHEHRYAAR YASIN - His stuff is noce, but expensive, and hard to get hold of as he's very arrogant now he thinks he is famous!
SONIA AZHAR - Supposed to be good, but i didn't go to see her
Tawfiq - Supposed to be amazing, one of the best, but quite expensive
MEERAS - where i got my wedding outfits from, her stuff is UNBELEIVABLE but she is expensive

You will find LOADS of designers tho if you get your driver to go down M.M. Alam road. Hope this helps!!
