She probably used an emergency mehndi cone. I used one for my nikkah and in literally 30 minutes the color on stained my hands (darkest color possible almost looked black). It lasted for about three days before turning a nasty yellowish/greenish color.

honestly i still stand by it, jhoomers, matha pattis, those round nose ring hoop things are all signs of a bride. if you're going to go for a small set add one of those things to make yourself stand out as a bride. there are plenty of girls here that dress in heavy dresses and either wear hijab or partially cover their hair that is a guest at the wedding party. light makeup, light jewelry sets lacking that bridal piece just doesn't cut it in my opinion.
But there is no end to that game. There is always potentially going to be someone with more flash. Why be a slave to THEIR lifestyle? At some point you have to live to please yourself, not impress others.

on a side note a friend had that same beautiful red color that the asian bride is wearing, if anyone wants to see it i'd share the pic privately not on here and i would hope they wouldn't abuse that pic.
