BRIDAL PICS.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

^ Maybe they do feel the delicate and ornate stuff is "above" what the blinged out aunties are wearing. You can't compete with some of them based on their material wealth. But the youth and glow of dulhans sets them apart.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

any guest young or old can arrive to the wedding wearing a similar styled set, i've seen it around my town all the time. at the same time i suppose we will have to agree to disagree on this trend. :)

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

itna dark color charh sakta hai ... but it's very drying to the skin .. and can look flaky ... as a result you moisturize a lot .. and by the second day you will see cracks or spots where the color begins to fade. the fading process of such a dark color is not so pretty. sometimes sara rang light orange ho jayega with some itty bitty super dark spots here and there.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

It's true. It happens here as well. And I think a bride should be well-dressed, but I don't think she should feel compelled to wear something bigger just to compete with her guests. That is not the way to live life.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

lol yep u see people trying to outdo the bride but u can always tell the bride from others..and guests should dress accordingly, everyone likes getting dressed up but not as the bride!

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

honestly i still stand by it, jhoomers, matha pattis, those round nose ring hoop things are all signs of a bride. if you're going to go for a small set add one of those things to make yourself stand out as a bride. there are plenty of girls here that dress in heavy dresses and either wear hijab or partially cover their hair that is a guest at the wedding party. light makeup, light jewelry sets lacking that bridal piece just doesn't cut it in my opinion.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

^ a bride is a bride- the glow that she has (as cheesy as that sounds lol) and the happiness she exudes on her day can't be outdone by any number of sil's in red joras and naths, imho. it also depends on the weddings you attend- some crowds don't dress up all chamak dhamak and so the bride even in a smaller set without red lippy still stands out and is appreciated for what she wears. in those cases, the guests who are overdressed would be looked at askew; on the other hand, in some crowds people love to dress up to the nines and then i'm sure the brides in those cases are also dolled up with everything they can manage to embellish themselves with.
what about those bunto brides in heavy, heavy joras with smaller sets? do you think they look like brides?
