Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I love the chador..!!it has such a beautiful effect…gorgeous…!! i dont think it was HSYs’ idea though…even if he made the trousseau…

i think she pulls off the big dupatta style well …shorter brides can’t really wear such huge dupattas don’t you think?

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Despite of a few minor details- jewelry mismatched, hair not looking perfect, jhoomar a bit high, big chadar like dupatta- I think overall she makes a gorgeous bride. The design of her outfit looks slightly indianish and sort of from the 70's, 80's but it still looks traditional and different from the usual kaam we see these days. It all looks very unusual but still pleasing to the eyes :)

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

jhoomar is to be worn high....if you look at old pics...
i think the trend of jhoomar being worn too close to the head is followed by comparatively new brides....its traditionally a hair piece...unlike the tikka...which is a head piece..

shorter brides can pull off the look..if they wear a 'big' chador according to their own height....a one that compliments them... :)

hmm well i dunno …i guess it all depends on how petite you are…well actually it may become overwhelming for petite brides
maybe if the chador isn’t too big , but then it might not be a chador  ??
i guess you can always try it on and see

^ nice dress ...really pretty

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

thanks bisoux :)

what's the difference between a lacha and a sharara? for both the shaadi and valima, the bottom wasn't really body hugging, but at the same time there wasn't that much ghhayr... it was kind of like an A-line skirt.. not sure how to describe it. :)

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Shararas are A-line too.

Lachas are wraparounds tied at one side.

I love the Valima outfit, such a cute happy color.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

sounds like a sharara
i believe lachas have this cut overlap thing going on ....i dont know how to describe it

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

my mom picked out the fabric and designed it all. i dont know too much about the details but it was inspired by the teal and antique gold sharara i’m sure everyone is familiar with… the designer guy my mom was working with convinced her to go with teal and silver instead, and my valima jorra is what they came up with

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

^ oh i love it!

Re: BRIDAL PICS.
