i thought it too but didn’t want to say. m’A very pretty girl but ladies, this is why decent underwear (control stuff if you need it) and good posture is really important.

agreed! i also thought the same that she needs to sit up straight ... and add some appropriate stuff underneath!
maybe she was too relaxed ... :D ...

i dunno… the white one doesn’t look like bunto at all… those giant sequin things? i dont think she’d do that.

i’d say the valima one (the second one) is a bunto if only cos of the unusual color combos. bunto often throws color curveballs and this seems to be her style. they’re so beautiful!

^ i could be wrong but i don't think they are sequins. looks like the print on the fabric to me (highlighted by regular sized sequins and on the duputta she has tiny metal studs in the work).

also the kaam on both is very similar so definitely made by the same person.

I know it’s off-topic in the bridal pics thread - but I just bought one of these sarees from south India - it is to-die-for (if I do say so myself).

I love the contrasting fabric and design of the fall/pleat versus pallu portion of the saree.

^it looks like Sabyasachi Mukherjee to me and Rani has long been one of his muses. I've seen her in a ton of his outfits.

me too!! its flippin gorgeous! i saw one in dubai- the entire sari was emerald green but the pleats were burnt orange- it was beyond amazing but also 6000 dirhams! boo :/

are any of these types of saris available in karachi, does anyone know? i'd love to have one, sabyasachi or not.

I got mine in Kochi at one of the stores on MG Road. Towards the end of my trip I saw some similar sarees in Delhi (Lajpat Nagar and Karol Bagh) - but tbh, the best sarees in terms of selection were in south India.

The funkiest part of my saree is that there is a slit in the saree from where the pleats are visible and the slit is bordered by vertical pattis of kaam.

And mine (with heavier work) was about 500 USD.

Definitely try Ensemble in Karachi - I saw a couple of saris by sabyasachi there...
