Re: BRIDAL PICS.
do you think someone could get away with wearing a black dress like this to their reception or their valima?
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
^ do uw ant it totally black like that?
I can see black as an accent or secondary color (like the border or parts of hte kameez) but not a fully black lengha like that.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
I would go with a deep burgundy/maroon or deep deep green or even a deep ink blue. why bother with black? I don’t see the charm in a black bridal dress. this same dress would look great in maroon too.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
^ It is lovely though.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
wow, that is a hot black dress!! and i agree, do it in a deep green or deep blue maybe and for the valima, i'd think.. it doesn't seem heavy enough to be bridal? i wonder if the dupatta is all turqoise and bronze with a black border?
also the series of pics posted above... gorgeous brides!
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
luv the white dress & matching jewlery…BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ![]()
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
like the jewlery…pretty
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
It would be something never done before if you dare to wear a black dress on your reception - but my opinion, even though i like the outfit as well but this style very common in Pakistan and i have seen women wear blue work on brown and vice versa and various other colors as well…so you should look at some other dresses as well before clinging on to this outfit. Trust me..but if you still want to go for it then keep it near to the black/dark tone and go for blood red or deepest green you can find.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
Yeah…I guess black really isnt that shaadi appropriate…I just liked the color combination & the embroidery. I’ve seen a dress in maroon with similar embroidery which might work better…
To be honest though, I think the black one looks better…
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
^ As i said go for the darkest green..there was some picture posted here inn which the model was wearing a green dress but everyone thought it was black until they read the details.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
Or if you really want to do black as something different, you can reverse the colors maybe? do the turqoise or even a deep navy blue or green with the black jamavar in place of the turqoise in that pic. that’d look nice.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
sunset eyes your pcs were really very pretty both of you look great. The props were beautiful and ur dress really very pretty too. Since it is a designer dress leme ask you this. The kaam waly kapras that you get made from karegars from regular shops usually end up irritating my skin and poke you from the inside. IS it the same with desinger clothes or have the developed a better technique?
FF, Thank you for the kind comliments. I am not sure about the answer to your question. I certainly know that this lengha was irritating my skin whatsoever. I think it depends on the material cuz you do get some! What makes you ask this question?
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
Well you stated its a mariaB lehnga and I'm sure you have worn non-designer kaam walay kapray too so I thought you would be able to give me an accurate comparison. You see I haven't had the riches to afford a designer dress thus far :D but the kaam walay kapras I have gotten from places like Mohsin Son's etc which have dabka on them, all chubhofy from the inside. I usually end up with slight rashes :( So I was thinking that designer dresses would be worth the money if they had been able to overcome the discomfort. Did your lehnga get you just cos of the net on the inside or cos of the kaam?
