can someone name a few of the good beauty salons in lahore
ive heard elanora and Mighty (dunno if thats the spelling) are suposed to really good... anyone tried them or know of brides who have gotten their make up done there?
plus, can anyone name a few good photographers... and the difference between Afzal, Prism and Afaak (sp?)

Afzal, Prism, Afaak? I have never heard of them.
Personally I like Izdeyar Setna and Naureen Shah's photography.
Naureen Shah does a lot of women's abuse type photography, but she does a lot of fashion photography too. I don't know if she's still active.

i dont want heavy make up. i dont want to look like something im not on the day of. its like i want to look like an enhanced version of myself that day, not someone totally different.

yeah, thats my only concern.. looking completely different on the day! i just want extremely light makeup.. my SIL said that ‘Mighty’ is supposed to be really good

hey guys,
where is a really good place to get bridal makup done in Lahore?
I've seen some pretty bad work on some dulhans in Lahore where it looks like they have atta on their face... its just horrible..... and its freaking me out!! I have yet to see a good makup job on a paki dulhan. i'm getting marrried this year in Lahore, and I REFUSE to get my makeup done there. I'm planning on taking a quick course from MAC or Visage and doing it myself.... what do you think?

I have heard alle nora is quite good my cousin she had her shaddi makeup done there she luked very beautifull.Its better 2 go 2 the well known parlours in lahore they cost a bit extra but i think they are worth it i dont know wat the prices are these days.

Um, just what are you talking about? Nowadays, the higher quality places that people have mentioned make amazing brides. If you go to a cheap place, you'll get a cheap result. If you go to someone like Ather Shahzad, you will be amazed at your transformation. The better salons have perfected foundation matching and eye makeup. They set your clothes and jewelry just right. I'm from the US, and I have yet to see a bride whose had a good makeup job here. I have seen numerous brides go to MAC; either they end up looking like a drag queen or they end up looking totally washed out and "bechari." Their dupattas are pinned on sloppily, hiding their faces and jewelry and their shirts are pulled in unflattering directions. It hardly ever translates to good photos.
I had my wedding receptions in both the US and in Lahore. My Lahore makeup was FAR superior to the American one.

check out the ones at mm alam road there the high tech ones.
if you go to any cheap one and they will make you look like a cartoon.
