well i do know about Package of New Look... i posted a detailed post in the same thread about the makeup details.
I had my makeup done from new look for my baraat function last year in november. They charged my 15,000/- for everything including the makeup from the owner.
In newlook either the owner does the bridal makeup (a fat lady) or her daughter (Arsh). I got my facial,waxing, pedicure,manicure,two days before baraat day and then got mehndi done a day before the actual day. they applied artificial nails on the last day.
Base and rough lipstick,hairstyle,fake eyelashes is done by multiple other girls and ladies. and then they send you in to the main room of owner for the final eye makeup and lipstick touches and all other face makeup final touches.

I liked the makeup...but the hairstyle was a tough one to get out of cause there was so much back combing done. But i guess that's how it is..everywhere.
mehndi was very nice ..everyone liked it but it was only on hands and feet...arms were not included.
they didn't do much in the facial...but waxing was done very nicely.

All in all for me the main priority was to have everything done from the same parlor in a reasonable budget..that's why i went for new look..instead of Allenora...Allenora ppl are money hungry and too expensive.

The overall look was nice but in some pictures the base looked a bit white...specially in close pictures from ordinary cameras cause of harsh direct flash.
That's all about that.. hoep that helps.
Cleanliness wise and setup wise...new look is quite good..i liked it better than Allenora. ( i had my walima makeup done from allenora)

i am new over here and my name is Saniya...i live in abu dhabi...i need help frm u friends if anyone can help me i will to thankful to all of u...actually my engagement is next month in karachi and i dont have any idea abt parlours over there plzz will anyone suggest some nice parlour for me...i just need a natural makeup...i havent used any makeup in my life other than lipstick so plzzz if there is any poarlour in which u get a natural look plzz suggest me...i will be thankful to all of u...help urgently...

There are lots of great parlors in Karachi, however it depends upon your budget. For natural look among the high priced ones I recommend Nabila's in Defense/ Clifton Cistre located inside Sheraton Hotel and Ravissant located in Avari towers. Ravissant may be a bit lower priced than the other 2. However, I have personal experience there and they do lots of celebrity make up. For some reason I never have liked Cistre's make up but since you like a very natural look you may like it.

For medium priced go for Deplix and Bhabi's (Tariq Road)
Mahrose (Mahrose has locations all over the city). I liked the Tariq Road location better than the North Nazimabad one. Do tell them that you want a model make up rather than bridal make up as that's the key to light comapared to heavy make up. I haven't much liked Bhabi's or Deplix but maybe because I like a more mdeup bridal look. You are more likely to go for them if you want a natuarl look.

Sab's is also getting quite famous there but never seen any of their brides. Rubina's has been along for quite a while too but they do usually a bad job (at least in the cases I have seen seen and heard about).

I like Ravissant the best from all the above. They do a natural look but good make up.

thanks a lot for ur reply and help....i wanted to as u one more thing do u where is rani sahiba's beauty parlour in karachi because i watch a show called sola singhar on indus tv in this show this beautician came i liked her do u have any idea where is her parlour??...and do u knw abt the prices of ravissant for engagement makeup??can u plz let me knw....and just tell me the location of ravissant also...

You are more than welcome. I have not heard of Rani Sahiba's beauty parlour, sorry. You can try to email Indus TV at [email protected] or [email protected] and find out. However, Ravissant is located inside Avari towers hotel in Karachi. The address is 242,243,Fatima Jinnah Road P.O.Box: 15503 . Its a very famous hotle and any taxi driver or person living in Karachi knows it and should be able to take you there. You can call Avari Towers hotel at this number 5660100 and ask them to connect you to Ravissant and they should be able to tell you the prices. I am sure the make up prices should be aboveRs 10,000 but check and find out.

So when is the engagement and what sort of dress (if you have any idea) shall you be wearing?

Ravissant looks nice by ur talk Inshallah i will go there only thanks a lot for repylyin again...ohhh again thanks for replying....my engagement is on 12august Inshallah do come and i will be leaving frm here to karachi on 26th of this month...my engagement dress my saas has bought it is marganda type colour and it is mermaid style i mean frm top its fitting and frm bottom it is normal type....i hope u understood the desigh..actually i havent seen it so cant explain u more than this....actually i wanted to wear a light col pink shade but my fiance wants me to wear dark col so they bought this col....hope it looks nice i dnt look like a bhoot...hahahaha....

Aniiisa,

For your info, i am a Beautician and can recommend the following makeup for the colours u suggested, as below:
1) yellow and red clothes - would suit simple makeup with golden bronze blusher, and very light gold in the eyes with a touch of chocolate colour on d edges, and maybe nude bronze lipstick or deep red if u want an evening/glam look.

2) orange clothes - would suit a bronzey look, with a bronze shader/blusher for definition, vry light gold, light orange and touch of chocolate for eyes, and a burnt orange lippy.

3) purple clothes- would suit an icy look as purple is a cool colour, but if it's vry dark purple then u can go for the warm look... basically a vry light highlighter/pinkish tone on cheeks, with cream as base for eyes and a touch of purple and grey for definition on d corners of eyes, and then maybe a light pink/mauve lippy if day function, or a purpley colour if eveningfunction....

Does anyone know good place for bridal makeup in Chattooga Bangladesh ??? I am getting married in Lahore (the barat make-up will be from either Madeehas or Allnora), but since my fiancé is from Bangladesh my walima will be there and I am worried about the make-up HELP PLEASE!!!

Even I am new to this forum and this place seems really very informative, so I am giving a try to get the relevant information I need. I am going to get married in the beginning of November this year, insha Allah, and would love to get my makeup done in Lahore. So I have to names in my mind: Alle Nora and Madeehas. So the choice is between two of them. Can anyone of you help me out to choose on of this parlour? I guess there is no big difference in the price. I have read somewhere that the owner Annie (Alle nora) and Madeeha (Madeehas) will charge you round about 30,000 for full make up. There might be a little difference in photo shooting. My cousin went to Alle Nora on her wedding and looked stunning afterwards, even here photographs could compete with any model. But this was in year 1997. I have no idea what has changed up to now. Does anyone also know whether Annie is still practising in Lahore? I would be glad if someone can help me out. Your experiences are precious to me.

I have never heared from lilly´s but if you say so, then I will check them too. What is their price range? Do you have any idea? Secondly what about their photo-shoot? I know that Alle Nora does a marvellous job and their photographs are just too good. That´s why i was cosidering Alle Nora. Are there any picture from lilly´s. May be the picture of your khala, only if you don´t mind posting them. Oh God, that´s so risky. It´s your special day and you just want the best you can get. It would be a night mare, if i had to regret my decision later on. So guys, I need your help!!.
