A model displays a fine art deco emerald, diamond and rock crystal necklace, formerly belonging to Anita Delgado, the fifth wife of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala, at Christie’s auction house in central London, 03 December 2007. The necklace is one of eight jewels once belonging to Anita Delgado, and together are expected to fetch in the region of GBP 200,000, (approx 281,366 euros/412,809 USD) at the “Magnificent Jewels” auction at Christie’s 12 December in London.
I Love the dangling stones.. I don't like anything in pure yellow gold eeeeyuck! But my mother insists I shud have a couple.. rubies are so pretty!
Re: brides jewelery
when i was getting my setmade, he has some ‘overweight beads’ that what i call them lol, he trimmed them down for me using some special machine! cus the overweight ones would have looked so funny!
man, the set of yours is divine! everytime i look at it, i want it! hahaha
theres a group on fbook called Urban Design Concepts International. they have some good suits and some good jewellery and prices are from 175 to 300 which is pretty reasonable for most of their stuff.
these are a couple of their sets- imitation for about $250 to $300 but i really like the style…

Re: brides jewelery
beautiful, yes, but tanishq is horribly overpriced though
I wanna run to my locker and take pics and show u girls! But then my mother wud call me a 100% certified pagal larki!
Re: brides jewelery
I think everything is horribly overpriced these days, SGC. Tearing my hair out, trying to keep everything within budget for the upcoming wedding.
Re: brides jewelery
^ I think it's safe to say we can ALL be accused of that! lol
I told my fiance i'm wearing Umar Sayeed even if I have to go without jewellery! LOL! What I thank my mother for is that she made 4-5 outfits for me every year and a jewellery set too. So now it's only THE dress and THE set to decide..
Re: brides jewelery
^ That's a smart idea. I'm not engaged but the next to get married so I do debate over starting the shopping. Then I think...what if I find something better...what if I get bored of the stuff!
But recently I've started investing in jewellery...just buying good quality stuff that's pure silver with semi precios stones. I can wear this stuff after the wedding as gold won't go with everything. I'll post pics of some of my pieces.
Re: brides jewelery
^ smart idea!
my mumani has been collecting one piece of gold, either a set or a ring or kara's or something, for her daughter ever since she was born! her daughter is 16 now so you can imagine what that locker looks like. as extravagant as it sounds, one piece a year is totally more affordable than spending $25,000 on jewellery all at once. plus as fashion changes, her daughter will have one of everything.
