hehehe thatz wat my fiance just said lolzzz…h said pehlay nai bata sekty thy yeh sab hez also asking me not to take it on head if its tooo heavy
thnnxxx meenz and midnight
yaar its so heavy that i cant even my self pin it on my head have to have someone wiv me to try a few styles…meenz the way ur saying i guess i want that look on my shaadi u mean the duppatta covering the front na ???
oops.. I think I skipped over the part where you're saying its for a valima. Yeap the pic you have is somewhat what I got for my reception. It worked out for me because I had a nikah in the masjid which was low key and only a reception the next day. I saved myself the hassle of having to get 2 dresses made so thats why I wanted a dupatta on the head.
my dupatta was also very heavy, when I went to have my trial with joshiv she tried different styles, but unfortunetly the styles were limited as my dupatta was too heavy, we then agreed to have it coming infront of the shoulder and across the chest.
I like this setting (drapped across the front), I have seen it a few times and always looks so elegant on the bride. If it suits your entire look, then try it out! Get your mom/sister/friend to help you, you wont be able to properly pin the head and back by yourself
i too liked this ferozi red pic...this dupatta setting looks sooo lovely...kia yaar...i wish k ek baar phir say shadi hojaaye...ofcourse same husband but new styles..new dresses.. diff parlour...huyyyy!!!
wear the dupatta on head as ofcourse it gives the complete look to a dulhan..
I think nowadays they do so much of the pinning that u won't feel it...im not too sure tho.try to have as much pins as possible so that the dupatta stays in its place, without u havin all the weight..
i wanted to have the front covering dupptta style on the barat day as the duppatta is of chifon material....will the front covering style will look gud on jamawar duppaataa its a bit stiff i think
i think ur talking about the styles vaneeza is having in the pics that ive posted but i was worried that can that style be in a super heavy jamawar dupptta ...i want the front cover look on the wedding day yeh na ho k the beautician asks m to have the same look on valima too so as to handle the duppatta
my cosuin had a heavy bridal dupatta and after i told her not to put it on both sides of her shoulders she still went ahead and did it. and bcoz the duppatta was soo full of kaam, it didnt fall, if ya know wat i mean. it made her shoulders appear broader, and made her look like a soldier…
oh yeah and make sure ur duppatta is secure, her duppatta was falling back and her bun also got flattened… she wasnt a very happy bride:bummer:
Ok, now i know what u meant by a soldier.
Ohhh, feel sorry for the bride...was she wearin it on the head too or jus the shoulders?
can u post a pic of her with the kind of dupatta setting ur talking abt?
Okay my cousin on her wedding had her duppatta on her head. One side of the duppata was in front of her right shoulder the other side was behind her left shoulder.
the pics shown below i got them from the internet should give some ideas
