Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

the second one is better: change the colour to pink, blue, white or red :D

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh back to GS!!! so many suggestions--but at the end you got the prettiest combination--in my opinion....with a 5 ft 3 in height---a shorter shirt would certainly look appealing! Im 5 ft 2 in and if I wear really long shirts--makes me look shorter.....

magenta and peach will turn out beautiful--I am sure! so at the end BUNTO WON!!

did u run all of those suggestions past her--wht did she think???? any interesting suggesitons she might have given to u?

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

i like the 2nd one!

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

Out of curiosity, why a farshi gharara or lengha? They are absolutely gorgeous for the wedding day, I agree, but my cousins who have them always hesitate to wear them again, even at very close weddings, because they are cumbersome.

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

^ the plan was to go for the Farshi Gharara, but Bunto promised a pair of pants to go with the outfit that would allow the shirt and the duppata to be worn at other occassions. I think her daughter in law claimed that she had worn her wedding outfit in the same way at least 4 times so far.

This isn’t the best quality image but you should get the idea:

Some of you may not like either of them, but if you had no choice then which would you go for???

Any advice welcome

i love dis one but change its colour ,make it in DARKER SHADES OF RICH RUSTY BROWN+RICH RUSTY MAROON[blues, pinkies r oldies now ]try some new combos, but i m sugesting above combo for barat…

bunto did that for my friend too with the gold/maroon/pink gharara. and she's worn it wayyyyy more than 4 times. she's pretty much gotten every penny's worth from what she spent.

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

^ Okay, cool. That sounds like a great idea.

but ur friends shirt wasnt SUPER LONG...was normal gharara length--mid thigh...right?

ahhhh u know whole time I thought the part under the gote was chocolate hehehehhehe........just found out its maroon...

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

lol :p

her shirt was a bit long, actually... if i remember correctly. not as long as this one, but knee length or thereabouts.

both my wedding shirt and valima **** were long. my wedding was kind of farshi

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

Are your photos still up somewhere, PF?

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

^ Lovely as always. I think your valima one had a coat and long shirt, similar like the Kazmi one...

thanks! my valima one had a long shirt that buttoned up in the middle so it was kind of a coat but nothing under it and then the pajamas. i can post a full length of that if u want

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

^yup, please.

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

^pakifairy u look stunning!!!!!!!!!! luv ur dress!!!

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

O.k. I got a reply from Bunto's assistant concerning the length of the shirt and using the green fabric - this i swhat she said:

"s regards the shirt, traditionally long shirts are worn over farshi ghararas and look better. However, fashion has altered the length of shirts many times over the years but once again people are wearing very very long shirts here. The idea is that once the weddign is over no one wears the gharara again but the shirt and duppatta can be utilised by wearing it with pants or shalwars etc... so we always suggest a longer shirt but uts really a personal preference.

Again , re the green fabric... I would leave it up to Bunto as to how she would like to use it. You must undertsand that outfits evolve as we make them.. sometimes Bunto will not like a particular combo even if she has suggested it earlier and change it if she feels soemthing else looks better. Therefore, I would suggest you leave that up to her.. if she feels that she needs to use it in the gharara she will.. otherwise it can remain as an accent."

Where to go from here?

Re: Bridal dress dilemma - Which one???

^
If you want to bring up the hemline, I wouldn't go above the top of the knee...

As for the green fabric...it sounds like they're not married to the idea either. At this point, I'd say trust their experience. I wish they had provided some kind of a sketch...
