Hahaha, At last you got it...King and Miandad Man this makes my day LMAO.

[This message has been edited by Asif_k (edited May 08, 2002).]

Hope your memories are not to short and you can rememember King’s words for Miandad
“I can give away my whole career for each innings of Javed”

If u dont rem that (or atleast u Pretends tht u dont) then let me know i can find out that for u. Right now see this. Hope u know abt pwc cricket ratings. Here are the BEST EVER ONE DAY BATSMEN ratings

http://www.gupistan.com/gallery/1/best_ever_oneday.jpg

oh wait ..what??? poor “not available when wanted”-10Dulkar is not in the list..sowwey..might be ISI behind this list !

Oh btw hope u rem one more interview of King abt Bradman’s dream team

“if I have to ask any batsman to play an innings for his life it would be Miandad”

[This message has been edited by BAYWAQOOF (edited May 08, 2002).]

Even for this inning **Javed Miandad b Srinath 40 113 2 0 **](http://www-usa.cricket.org/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/WORLD_CUPS/WC92/LEAGUE/IND_PAK_WC92_ODI16_04MAR1992.html) ?

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/dixsi.gif

BW, Isn’t the above list same where Evan Chatfield is one of the 10 great bowlers of all time.

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/dixsi.gif

Anyways - Javed Miandad is a great batsman, but not in the same league as the KING no matter who you quote and whatever stats you present.

[This message has been edited by Asif_k (edited May 08, 2002).]

thats like “meen na manooon”
or its like i say 10Dulkar is one of the great batsman but not greatest of all as indians promotes him

Richards compared to Lar or Tendulkur>
No comparison, no batsman can come close to what Viv Richards has done to the fast bowlers.

The greatest test and one day batsman of all time is Viv Richrads, without a doubt.

Here is my ranking of the greatest batsmans of all time (1985-2002)

1.) Viv Richards
2.) Desmond Haynes
3.) Sachin Tendulkur
4.) Javed Miandad
5.) Brian Lara
6.) Steve Waugh
7.) Sanath Jayasuriya
8.) Saeed Anwar
9.) Martin Crowe
10.) Inzimam-ul-haq

Umair - Wake up pal, no one was comparing LARA/Sachin with the KING. It was BW mentioning Javed as a better batsman than the KING.

Also, in your all time best batsman list I dont see the names of Bradman or Gavaskar or Border. Great list

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/biggrin.gif

AK

I said only 1985 to 2002, I wasn't even alive when Gavaskar or Bradman played, I just can't look at the stats and rank them, I only ranked the players I have seen play.

I compared Viv to others because the person who started the thread to pick one of the 4.

[This message has been edited by ehsan (edited May 09, 2002).]

Asif, i think if you read Umair’s list carefully he is listing ODI batsmen and then also from 1985 to 2002, so Bradman cannot come into that list on two accounts:

A) He never played ODI
B) He retired well, well before 1985.

Border Should be in the top ten but then it is his list. Lastly Gavaskar was one of the best batsman the world has seen, but I am afraid not as an ODI player, but certainly as a test player. Who can forget his 36 not out in 60 overs against England at Lords during the 1975 world cup. That is not to say that he has not played better innings since then, but overall as a test batsmen one of the best of all time, but not an exceptional ODI player.
