I don’t think it’s a case of the mother doing it as a “fetish”. Yuck…

It is a psychological issue; however, some mothers get carried away and do it longer than it’s meant to be done for a number of reasons ranging from the ultra-bond, to feeling the need to continue doing it simply because they don’t realize the baby has moved from the breastfeeding stage and can now consume other foods, nutritions. And therefore, should be allowed to feed other ways.

i agree…i dont think it’s a fetish either. Regardless, the mother has serious issues. Any normal mother would know that it’s just not right to go beyond a certain age (age of 2). After the age of 2 the child can remember things

The American Pediatric Association recommends breastfeeding up til age 1…correct me if I am wrong mothers. Beyond that…there is really no nutritional reason to breastfeed a child.
