I don't have a lactation consultant but I guess I could find one....before I left the hospital the nurses checked to make sure the baby was latched on properly and they said everything was fine. But then a week later I started feeling horrible pain especially on one side and I would dread feeding from that side and then I noticed a deep cut and it was bleeding. For a few days now I've been avoiding feeding from that side because it hurts so much and I want the cut to heal properly because when I continued to feed from that side I found the cut got worse. I've been using the Lansinoh cream too but I know such a deep cut needs alot of time to heal completely :( The thing is I think I need both to feed my baby properly and to relieve the engorgement but I'm afraid to because of the pain.....Did you all continue to feed your baby with the cuts and bleeding?
