I have a question, it’s quite random BUT …
How did you tell your friends that you where getting engaged/married? Did you do it in a special way?
I’m thinking that if you have a large circle of good friends, how do you go about telling all of them? It takes time asking them out one by one, and sending a invite outa the blue seems sort of rude? …

LOL.....I actually did do it through Facebook.....lol. Well, fiance and I have been together for quite a while so everyone who knows us knew it was coming sooner or later.
But when he actually proposed on a Saturday night....the next morning we called our parents and 2-3 CLOSE friends......and then changed our "status" on Facebook (that spread the word like wildfire!). And no, to our knowledge, no one was "offended".

My 2-3 best friends would receive a phone call the same night/day after the proposal.
I would call the remaining 8-15 closest friends of my fiance and I for a dinner/get-together and then break the news to them in person, perhaps by flashing my ring and letting them figure it out. Let the rest of the world find out via Facebook, but not the close friends! They are awaiting this day just as much as we are, and I'm sure they'd appreciate something a little more personal than Facebook.

I open'd a blog - and email'd the link to every body in my mailing list ... copy the same message and run it through my self made sms software ... The rest is future :D
