Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
what is with guys?
my SO thinks that too and he's so comfortable talking about that kind of stuff I cringe and squirm at the mention or action.. even just burping!
he has some crazy notion that he'll be able to break my crazy uptightness about this but I rather not D:!
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
i got over it pretty quickly.... I think :) maybe a day?
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
how..?
I can't imagine having a baby because of the diapers..although I want one the diapers just makes me want to prolong it..
does it have something to do with maturity?
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
^ ummm being comfortable with bodily functions around your SO and not having a baby cus u dislike diapers are two different thing IMO... no?
I dunno how much the first relates to how you got married (arranged or not), I dont think it matters... but maybe more about how comfortable you are exposing yourself to someone who is going to know everything about you...
Mind you, there are still maybe one or two things that I may not be comfortable about, but that has nothing to do with my SO... if it were anyone, it'd be the same.
But in regards to burping and all that jazz, no, I dont think I have an issue with that at all. Lol, its probably the opposite. I get the look of disgust from him when anything does happen :D lol
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
You mean latreen sharing openly?
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
oh and diapers on the hand... when its ur own baby, you overcome the diaper disgust pretty quickly. It all becomes all blurry and quite fuzzy.
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
okay thats good I guess..
well I wish he was a prude about it just like I am it would be much easier for me because I wouldn't cringe so much.
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
kakee, have you had cholay yet?
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier…
Boys are gross.
Also, I don’t like discussing bodily functions. My hubby thinks it’s okay now that the topic was opened up in regards to our daughter. He goes into far too much detail. ![]()
That being said, we just don’t really react if there is a bodily function we are exposed to. Actually I do still object when hubby burps loudly and proudly in front of me.
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...

Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier...
Re: burping- during feasts at various functions - it is traditional for elderly men - especially the pujaris (priests for kakee's benefit) to burp loud and long to show their satisfaction.
Re: Breaking the bodily functions barrier…
Before I got married I could not even sit close to someone on the sofa. I couldn’t imagine hugging or being close to someone and it was very hard for me to adjust after marriage. And with my hubby he liked cuddling, hugging and me not reciprocating made him pull back so I would advise you girls to try and learn to enjoy especially if ur SOs like it.
I now enjoy cuddling and hugging but hubby has gotten used to the space
…
On the topic of bodily functions I absolutely hate it when he burps out loud and he doesn’t even try to quiet it down. Apparently that is how everyone around him has done it, I just about gag everytime someone does it around me. The response I get is Well that means we had a great dinner/lunch and we are satisfied, the burp is followed by a Alhamdulillah ![]()
Rest of the body functions they do happen but I am not comfortable and I would rather they happened in solitude but with each year of marriage and husbands and wives seeing each other at their most vulnerable you do tend to not think too much about it.
