younis literally made a plea to all the teams to come down to pakistan to play cricket after announcing his retirement from t20…i just hope inhshallah that ICC people will atleast listen.
About Afridi,., my university mates were his class fellows, and they are still very good friends…so Afridi is 29/30… ( as I am :)…)… About Younis… he should not be allowed at the press conferences… Misbah should do the honor in his place…

As brilliantly as his captaincy was complimented by his responsible batting in this tournament, he decided to leave T20 at peak and concentrate on other format.
I wont mind him retirning after winning 2011 WC either :)

I've always backed Afridi for captaincy, and the T20 format seems to be tailor-made for someone like him... so I too hope that he'll be the next captain. He has an energetic attitude and an encouraging demeanor which is great for the team.
I'm not too disappointed over Younis' retirement... it's just that I wish he had waited a day or two and let people enjoy the victory fully - this added bit of news just diluted the celebrations a little.

I totally respect his decision. A good move emulating Imran Khan. I'm not sure how old Afridi is (is he 21 yet?) but he is a good contender along with Misbah.

Good point about the timing - guess is he just got caught up in the emotion of the moment. I like Younis a lot, comes across as a fundamentally decent guy. More important, he seems to be able to get the best out of the rest of the team.
But IMO, one of the biggest gains for Pak is Afridi's new found maturity. If this is not a flash in the pan, but for real, then he immediately walks into all the Pak teams (T20, ODI and test) and makes them significantly better. Also, Afridi in the test team ensures we wont have to hear about Kaneria's "bestest and latest" mystery ball every again :-)
Im shocked. Its so hard to get a winning combination going that the best thing to do is not mess around with it.
Younis Khan is a great asset for Pakistan. If emulating Immi, he should have stayed captain till 39 :)

his batting doesnt seem too old at all. I mean Misbah is 35 !!
If he doesnt take it back, GOOD JOB YOUNIS. The promised savior awaited for 17 years, who was ever-reluctant to take on the burden of the hopes of a nation.
Afridi is the best choice to take over, assuming he is willing to take on the extra burden.
