The police have reported that the student had stopped taking his medications and had become erratic" and that Two of the weapons were purchased legally less than a week ago, authorities said.
Guns need to be kept out of people who have mental problems. The one side says we should allow certain medical records to be used in gun backround checks to stop such people from buying guns while the other side says allowing medical records to be checked would stop some peopel from getting mental help as they know it could prevent them from buying a gun.
About arming everyone, these incidents are infrequent for the most part and it would be interesting to see the stats on accidential shootings in states where gun control laws are loose verse where they are tough. Also the thought of having a lot of people with guns in traffic is scary, takes road rage to a new level.
