...I still can't remember when was the last time Pakitsan defeated India in the World Cup...do you remember?
Although the loss of Razzaq, Akhtar and Asif is a huge blow for us, it's all down to three factors whether or not we do well in WC
- whether the players have self-belief that they can still win without Asif, Akhtar and Razzaq
- whether we can build some momentum up going into the latter stages of super-eight by winning some of our earlier games
- whether or not Inzi can inspire the team with his captaincy and batting form
Without Asif, Shoaib and razzaq Pakistan's chances of making to the semis are nil.
I sincerely hope that this is the end of the career for Shoaib. I think we have suffered enough through his stupidity over the years. Enough is enough. on the positive side he will never play for Pakistan in a world cup again.
it will...at least in the super eight round they can meet..
India and Pakistan in group B and D respectively, if both get 1st or 2nd position in group matches, then they can meet on either 18th or 19th of April. Otherwise it is possible on 1st April or 15th April (with D2B1 or D1B2 combination)
Can't understand why two bowlers were replaced with one bowler and one batsmen. Have the team management suddenly realised that they need an extra batsmen or that with the inclusion of Sami they don't need an extra bowler as Sami is better than both of them?
our pace attack (if we can call it an attack) would do well to get ireland and zimbabwe all out now...
o well...theres always 2011; we did win the u-19 wc last 2 times in a row so 2011 may well be ours
I am really disappointed to see these pace spearheads not going to the wc. When this whole dope fiasco started, THIS is the moment we all feared would happen (that we will have to play worldcup without them).
Having said that, I vividly remember that just before 1992 WC, Waqar had to leave and everyone else feared we have no chance in the cup. Guess what happened then? :) Similar circumstanes and I hope team rallies and give a great fight.
^ sir we still have a few fighters in our team so all is not lost. Yousuf, Inzi, Younis,Malik, Afridi etc.
Moin was virtualy unknown before that cup and Aaqib was not a sure starter (apart from that hattrick against India) so they came to the fore at the right time. Maybe this is the time for some of the younger lot to do the same?
Whenever I visit Lahore, the first place I love to go to is the famous Food Street. When I am there I stuff my face full of some ‘taaza’ Nadrolone with some hot Naans on the side.
