ISI mayhave caused less damages in the world than CIA or Mosaad.
Difference is that CIA and Mossad served their countries well, regardless of what they did to other people in world. ISI, on the other hand, had some of its policies which turned out to be a national security threat to Pakistan itself. For example, creation and support of Taliban, IJI.

Don't you think one of the most problematic political ethnic party is MQM created by ISI and Zia-ul-Haq in the 80s? When you say political system, the way government is run, MQM is very much part of this system for the last more than two decades.
Maybe if this organization stops messing things up for others, the others will stop messing things for us. From MQM to trouble in India, its about time some questions are answered and this association disbanded, because all its done so far is create trouble, for others AND for us.

No, I do not think that MQM is most problematic political party created by ISI and Zia-ul-Haq in 1980s. MQM is the only party in Pakistan that represents average Pakistanis, not like other political parties that represent only elites, their family members, their friends, their servants, and their chamchas. All MQM representatives are Mr Average Pakistani and no one got any high place in the party (or assembly, senate on party seats) because of being relative to someone in party top hierarchy. I think that if MQM plays their cards right than they have potential to become most popular party in Pakistan. They just need little bit of tactical corrections followed by public awareness campaign.
Actually, I do not think that MQM was created by ISI or Zia-ul-Haq. JI, JUI, ML and PPP, all at one time or another, had substantial support from Karachi. Unfortunately, the pathetic way these political parties treated people of Karachi, it created political gap and MQM took advantage of that gap. Now, MQM will stay popular in Karachi as long as they would keep working for people of Karachi.
As for MQM being problematic, that is nothing but BS of those who love to see political parties dominated by elites and run as family businesses, where representations are inherited or distributed amongst associates, and country is only there to get looted and exploited by them.
To me, MQM represents average person on street and all their representatives come from average Pakistanis with mentality and background similar to average Pakistanis on streets. If MQM have problems and frustrations than those are problems and frustrations of average Pakistanis and if they have any fears and feelings than those are similar fears and feeling that we find in average Pakistanis. If some people considers MQM having ethnic bias than they should look in mirror as they would find more ethnic bias in themselves than MQM.

Um i think they already tried that on May 12 and the result was grusome, though not surprising, knowing MQM was involved. God forbid there should be any more tactical correction campaigns.
It's funny how some people come here claiming to be pro-pakistan while supporting a internationally known Terrorist organization. I hope more countries follow in the steps of Canada and deport MQM affiliates and the terrorist leader of this outfit is handed over to Pakistan so he can be tried as per wishes of the average Pakistanis living IN Pakistan.

the public hates the party in general. Even if they become saints, chances of which happening are less than getting struct by lightning two times in a row, their criminal, terrorist and extortionist past is too bloody to allow them to go mainstream.

Average Pakistani thinks that MQM is basically an ethnic party representing certain group of people belonging to Karachi and Hyderabad only. Past record shows that it is a B team for dictators, because their chances of ruling in truly elected government is very remote. Why because its leader believes in terrorizing and killing people, rape, corruption, batta wasooli, dhons and dhandli. Who with a sane mind accept such a horrible party? A group of people, who accept him as their leader, have illusion of maseeha, and savoir. And AH believes himself as Pharaoh of the 21st century.

Besides, someone already pointed out that ISI is not being transferred under Information Ministry, rather just "cooperation" amongst them was ordered. I think this "correction" statement is misleading, what was need for the "order" to be sent out for the cooperation?

I think most of American thinks that CIA was involved in Assassination of Kennedy and they blame CIA as we blame ISI for creating mess at international and domestic level.
In case of Pakistan, where half of the leaders are corrupt and other half have openly admitted that Pakistan is a sin and/or mistake, ISI has to have its political wing and have to dilute the poison with poison.
I know ISI has been involved in forming and dissolving govts, but dont u think so it is because we have dumbest and/or opportunist leaders running the show, Only if these leaders had character, honesty and loyalty to the Country and been working for the people of Pakistan, ISI may have not involved domestically, but The purpose of formation of ISI is to protect Paksitan from both internal and foreign dangers, so they have to be involved in both fronts.

ISI was formed after black day of 16 december 1971, but Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, he is the only PM to him ISI has reported, as after him, PM like Juneju, Benazir and Nawaz Shareef was dependent on ISI for their govt.
The weakness of our leader had made ISI almost a independent institute, which just report to its head. The head of ISI reports either to the president ( if he is strong) or to the Prime minister ( if he is strong). I dont know to whom ISI is reporting now a days.

Then on a second note a peaceful Afghanistan with a pro-Pakistan government which the US even recognized in the early 90s gives us strategic depth in battle, provides us with energy, raw materials, nuclear materials and so much more.
