Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

It doesnt mean they are suspect. It just means them being the senior most they wana get more information from them.

OR

They may have done something dumb. They definitly can not kill.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

From Redif:

Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and assistant coach Mushtaq Ahmed were being questioned by Jamaican police on Saturday investigating the murder of coach Bob Woolmer, the team spokesman said.

"We heard from our liaison officer that the police wanted to talk with Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed -- those talks are going on now," Pervez Mir said.

"We'll just have to hear what the outcome is."

The news came some three hours before the team had been due to fly out of Montego Bay airport at 1840 (2340 GMT) on Saturday, via Kingston and London back to Pakistan.

Asked if the duo would still fly out as scheduled, Mir said "I don't know, we just have to wait and see outcome of this query."

The murder of Woolmer, 58, by strangling last Sunday has rocked the World Cup and completely overshadowed the action.

Police said they were looking for one or more culprits and had said that the Pakistan team were not suspects.

"We found out about 30 minutes ago while we were having lunch," Mir added. "We just heard that they had been asked and our manager is with them.

"We're just waiting to hear the outcome of their report and we are complying with whatever necessary questions they have.

"I'm sure it's not going to be a big deal."

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

Calm down people. Its just that they have been two closest people to bob in his last days so they want to confirm more information from them whenever they get new

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

Cricinfo is now reporting that they were questioned briefly and that the team is going to leave as planned. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. Seriously media needs to quit sensationalizing everything small little thing.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

^ Yes according to GEO Mushy and Inzi have both been cleared and the whole team is due to fly back to Pakistan (via London) within the next hour or so

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

Until they get on the plane....anything can happen........

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

It was a routine enquiry part of an investigation, this is normal in a case of murder...reporting a news as sensational, is the only way media can survive.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

It actually in my opinion means that since they were almost woolmers size the police think only they could have been able to bring him down -

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

mushtaq ahmed is almost woolmers size

may be he could have climbed on inzi, and together they would have done it

Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE

Aren’t we taking it to the wrong side and thinking in the wrong direction?? :smack:

I mean come on. When a person is murdered - police obviously asks a lot of questions from the people who are in the same area etc. The reason is to get information - not only because those people are suspected.

Here they just wanna know if Bob met someone, if they felt something suspiscious etc. so think if it this way too. Police needs their help.
Its a part of regular investigation.
