Talat Ali, the manager was also questioned.

Guarantee given by the Pakistan Government that players will be available for futher questioning if required.
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE
Just heard Inzi on Sky TV and he said that it was routine questioning and they wanted to clear a few points. They have been cleared to leave. Phew!!!!
Inzi was probably held because he must have started answering the questions about Woolmer's death with "First of all, thanks to Allah..."

well it was a routine investigation. am sure police is asking questions everywhere and it makes sense. They would be doing the same thing to his wife & kids as well if they were there in that hotel.
Asking questions doesn't mean that police is considering them suspiscious.
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
A day before the Ireland game, Woolmer had a sort of an altercation with Inzimam and Mushtaq. Woolmer wanted Inzi to practice, which he apparently wasn't doing. Police must be questioning the two regarding this incident.
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
When I saw those 2 pakistani officials at the Police press conference just now I almost had a myocardial infarction
I feared the worst and almost died.
Thankfully the police spokesman said there was no reason for the pakistani team to remain behind and are free to go.
The media (notably SKY) can be such ba$tards. They really hyped up the whole Inzi/Mushtaq re-interview thing only to show Inzi live talking away relaxed and saying he was ready to go home. This is in fact why the police had to do a press conference just now to clear this up.
phew..
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
Sky TV nearly gave me a heart attack during that time they virutally accused Inzi and Mushtaq of murder and for ten minutes or so I was fearing the worst. Idiots, I wish I could swear at them here. ![]()
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
Did you see the way their guy was interviewing Inzi, almost indirectly asking him if he or any other of the team killed Woolmer?
I hate them! ![]()
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
^ Yes I wished Inzi had told him to F off. The guy was desperate for a confession form Inzi. I don't know how Inzi kept his cool.

hahaha
media is taking it too far as usual
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
I wish the Police would just arrest the murders. It can't be that hard they must already know who did it but do not have enough evidence to arrest. This suspence is doing my head in!

Finally, not knowing english helped the guy. I'm sure he'd tell the interviewer to Fatwa off if the interview was in urdu.
Re: BREAKING NEWS: INZI AND MUSHTAQ BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE// POLICE PRESS CONFERE
*What a farce. PJ Mir needs to get his rear end fired as soon as possible. Every freakin' thing the Pakistani players do these days is breaking news. Breaking news: Inzi just finished his biryani. Good God. *

I think Inzi triggered Police suspicion when he said..."First of all, thanks to Allah...that Woolmer is dead".

Challo bhai, yeh din bhee deikhna thaa....
For my feeble hearted GS Buddies, this is just the begining, better buckle up and be ready for some serious roller coaster rides.
Match fixing mafia is probably the main reason behind Bob's murder and if that connection is proved to be correct then ofcourse Pak players starting with the captain and his minime (Mushtaq) will become prime suspects.
Its unfortunate but the focus has shifted from WC debacle to Bob's murder.
