Taliban monster at its peak!

What should also be condemned is our Army's, Saudi's and UAE's support to Taliban before 2001. This is where have come to due to that support to radicals.
The Army wanted to control Taliban. Now Taliban are controlling Pak.

I am disgusted and shocked... what a way to treat a prominent figure of your country :(

I have also seen on the news about people burning cars and attacking houses and buildings as a retaliation to the assassination. I can only implore people to stay calm and not loose control, but when has that worked :(

WASHINGTON: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Benazir Bhutto has once again drawn a line between the good Taliban and the bad Taliban, the former being pre-Al Qaeda, the latter post-Al Qaeda.

In a question-answer interview with Newsweek published this week, she was asked if it was true initially she supported the Taliban when they first came to be formed in Afghanistan. She answered, “When the Taliban first emerged, the United States, Pakistan and many other countries saw them as a force for peace, but soon we became disillusioned. There’s a difference between Taliban with Al Qaeda and Taliban without Al Qaeda. When the first Taliban emerged, there was no Al Qaeda. They were there as Afghans trying to be a political force within Afghanistan. After the overthrow of my government in 1996, they allowed Al Qaeda to set up training camps. At that time, I was leader of the opposition in the Pakistani parliament, and I called upon the government to issue an ultimatum to the Taliban that unless they evicted Al Qaeda, Pakistan would break relations with them. Unfortunately, my calls fell on deaf ears.”

*^^ if the people keep doing this .. it will create havoc and destroy Pakistan. May GOD save pakistan. pray only pray. I just talk with dad, whole Faisalabad is shutdown people run to homes. Atleast 4 people are dead in firing. City electricity is shutdown.

Please stop making such comments.. Anyone who wants to see de-stablized Pakistan and Muslims could be behind this. To me it could be any other foreign power behind it.

How can it be declared that its Al Qaeda, Taliban or anyother Jihadi, when no one has actually claimed for responsibility yet.

Right now the people arent happy with the Government, and are extremely angry. I hope they keep calm and mourn indoors peacefully. I just hope the next 24 hours pass on without any trouble.

What did BB herself said about threat to her? Didn’t Taleban maniacs threatened her before her coming?

The main suspects in Benazir Bhutto’s assassination are the Pakistani and foreign Islamist militants who saw her as a heretic and an American stooge and had repeatedly threatened to kill her.

Earlier that month, two militant warlords based in Pakistan’s lawless northwestern areas, near the border with Afghanistan, had threatened to kill her on her return.

One was Baitullah Mehsud, a top commander fighting the Pakistani army in the tribal region of South Waziristan. He has close ties to al Qaeda and the Afghan Taleban.

The other was Haji Omar, the “amir” or leader of the Pakistani Taleban, who is also from South Waziristan and fought against the Soviets with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan.

Taleban and their supporters understand only the language of force, and they need to be exterminated and annihilated from Pakistan. The need today is more than at any other time.
