I dont think everyone thinks betting and fixing are interchangeable.. that would make no sense!

Vast majority of betting is legit? By legit if you mean unrelated to fixing yes.. but if by legit if you mean legal.. then no.. it is not legal..

should they make it legal? well thats a slipper slope.. then you should start opening casinos in every big city and legalize prostitution as well… im down for it, but i dont think most indians are..

Not sure if nikhil25 was referring to just betting in sub-continent or worldwide, but betting is legal in western countries. Infact book-makers like Ladbrokes legally conduct betting on almost all major sports (including cricket) in the world. I also agree with nikhil25’s point about legalizing betting in India since thats the only way to release it from the stranglehold of organized crime syndicates.
