Re: Breaking News: Akhtar, Asif called back to Pakistan!
and the horror show continues,
bachoon aur Heart patient hazrat ke leye Pakistan cricket ki Bhoot nagri main dakhla mana hay,
What,s next
any guess,s?
My guess is Woolmer going back to his home right after this tournament specially if
pakistan play very badly(very much likely now),this whole drama seems unending.
Btw President Mush will never allow banning Akhter for too long.

Re: Breaking News: Akhtar, Asif called back to Pakistan!
i perosnally would blame the PCB in this. They love to say that these players are their employees, but they have not given them the proper facilities. these players are not dummies but i do think in pakistan where these players dont go through a proper system, for example through schools here in west where it starts from high school. There in lies the responsibility only on PCB!
Re: Breaking News: Akhtar, Asif called back to Pakistan!
I dont think Mohammed Asif took Nandrolone knowlingly. He hasnt got any build..if he did take it he should ask for a refund..Shoaib Akhtar was always better built in the past though.

HOW THE NEWS WAS BROKEN
Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar had just finished his breakfast on Monday and had moved to a teammate’s table when Pakistan team manager Talat Ali broke the news that his dope test had tested positive.
It was clear from Shoaib’s demeanour at the restaurant of the Rajputana Maurya Sheraton that he had no inkling what was in store for him. The 31-year-old looked cheerful as he read the newspaper and finished his rolls, sausages and juice.
The freshly showered Shoaib ended his meal with tea and joked with Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralithran who was having breakfast with his teammates on another table.
Abdul Razzak entered the restaurant and Shoaib called him over to his table and the two continued with their breakfast.
After he finished, Shoaib walked over to another table to catch up with wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal when a serious looking Ali walked in.
Ali took him away - to tell him that he and his pace partner Mohammed Asif had tested positive for Nandrolone, a banned anabolic steroid.
Taking hurried steps, the two walked out of the restaurant on to the beautifully manicured lawns of the hotel and disappeared inside one of the rooms

In the 80’s Pakistan had Imran, Wasim, Waqar and Aaqib. Which one was chucker, who tempered with the ball, who took drugs and who was unfit. It is very easy to be an armchair critic.
Oh Yes just remembered Imran was unfit, but than Lillie and Thompson were unfit as well, but they were Australian so that is ok. Oh yes Waqar and Wasim tempered with the ball till the rest of the world found out how to reverse the ball and than it became an art, but yes Wasim and Waqar were tempering with the ball because they were Pakistani. I suppose all four took drugs, how disgusting but than Warne took drugs as well, but he is an Australian so it is OK, Botham took drugs but he is an Englishmen only Pakis are disgusting. And of course they all must have chucked.

most steroid-using athletes are not particularly muscular. just look at the sport with the most rampant use - professional cycling. they are all skinny and very light weight…but their strength and muscular stamina is very high. performance enhancement from steroids is not just about growing big muscles.
as far as the post-injury medicine excuse, this is the standard line from every single athlete who has ever been caught doping. it is a terrible excuse for a number of reasons.
