Well I just started med school along with my husband this Fall. We are in our 1st year second semester. I know after I become a doctor I will definitely want to work reduced hours for my family because they will be my utmost priority.
I know of several doctors in my community that are the breadwinners(specifically doctors) in the relationship and their husbands help raise the child or work in a decent job. It all depends on your thinking and what your husband feels about you making more money than him.
I also know what you mean by wanting to stay home. At times when I am in biochemistry or histology I wish I could be home snoozing away but like you said we worked waaaay too hard for this so let's keep up the hard work and efforts and hope that it all pays off one day iA!
