NEW DELHI: The separatist Balochistan Republican Party (BRP) leader Braham*dagh Bugti on Monday said he would apply for political asylum in India.
“We have decided that we will formally file asylum papers to the Indian government. We will start work on it right away. Will go to the Indian embassy and will follow the legal process,” The Indian Express quoted Mr Bugti as saying. He said that he would call the Indian embassy for an appointment.

Mr Bugti also said that like-minded Baloch leaders had decided to file criminal cases against Pakistan Army generals and China at the International Court of Justice.
“Will take China to the International Court of Justice with the help of Bangladesh, Afghanistan and India,” said the BRP leader who is currently living in exile in Switzerland.
Last month, Mr Bugti thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for raising the issue of the situation in Balochistan in the latter’s Independence Day speech.
Earlier there were reports, according to the Express, that India was considering granting political asylum to Baloch activists living in exile. The reports said that a decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting of BRP in Geneva on Sunday.
India last granted political asylum to the Dalai Lama in 1959.
There was no comment from any side if India was ready to grant asylum to Mr Bugti despite its apparent support to his cause. The Express did not say where and to whom Mr Bugti was speaking.
Mr Bugti is a self-proclaimed survivor of an attack on his party’s hideout in Kohlu near Quetta in 2006 launched by Pakistani Army. His grandfather Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was killed in the attack.

This guy is doing great service for Pakistan… providing Pakistan a higher moral ground to support all in Assam, Teripura, Khalistan, Ahmedabad, South India, Kerala, Kashmir and Nagaland…

What is a big deal? Let India give him the asylum. There is nothing wrong with it. In Islam it is allowed that if you think you will be persecuted because of your faith and thinking, leave that place. After all a number of pakis took asylum in other countries for right or false reasons. When I was in Canada, I met one air force officer who ran away from Pakistan during Zia-ul-Haq time to avoid persecution due to involvement of coup against mardood.

Please provide your support for Readmeistan as well. Ahmedabad, South India, Kerala .. What kind of problems do you see there so that Pakistan can provide higher moral support.

That said, I think you are already acknowledging that Pakistan is providing high moral support to the separatists already.

Pakistan should..after all it is not good keep the debt of your neighbor for too long and since neighbor is a baniya…so we should return it with interest…

BTW..i guess Modi would acknowledge killing of 150 kids in APS soon…like he acknowledged India’s active involvement in East Pakistan…

The “core” issue is that these so-called “sardars” do not want any development in their area so that they could keep their subjects under their shoes.

He is better in India. Anyone else (Altaf) with similar “core issues” in some other part of the country (Karachi) should also be welcomed to denounce Pakistani citizenship and go to India.

True that, from 1947 till 2016, the sardaars got all the money from “gas”, but all they gave to their tribes is just gas (non-combustible)

Swiss authorities denies his asylum request so he has to leave from there shortly.

Besides he might be in luv with Adnan Sami Khan, who knows..

MM Alam who was great fighter and shot several fighter plan in 1965… what we did with this guy… Zia stopped his pension and other benefit because he speak against injustices of Pak Army in East Pakistan…

You seem to say that it is ok for Bugti to do it since Altaf did the same.
So you are ok with the two?

I didn’t know you were Altaf supporter.

You probably don’t know that Altaf has several cases of treason against him and is disowned by his own party.
If comparison is to be made between the two then Bugti kid will be meted the same treatment.

throw his family out of the country too with him and let them go to hinduistan or whatever. Or maybe uganda will take him in.

And stop the aid money to him, let him work at mcds or something to pay for his living
