I have an 8 year old girl..i have found that in the past few years she will automatically stay away from boys, she is naturally distant from them as tehy have different interest...and she finds them repulsive and stupid.
i also have a 4 year old who doesn't like girls because they are not nice...and he usually plays with boys and not girls, he would rather play alone than with a girl...however he did develop an obsession with a little girl at nursery, which my whole family just played on...they used to wind him up and tell him he would marry her...i can't imagine anyone doing the same to my daughter..to my relief he is now over this phase.
as parents we need to set the boundaries....i have 2 boys and 1 girl..they will never get dressed in the same room...they know that they need to guard their bodies, and what 'sharam haya' is.
I really feel for you TLK...because i stress about my daughter i dont want her to grow up...the older she gets the more i stress and tv doesnt help...these days 6 year olds are more like 16year olds.
I pray that Allah enables us all to give our children a good Islamic upbringing InshAllah
