Ive noticed that my fiance,like most guys, does not like discussing girlish topics or gossiping or listening to long stories of some friend/cousin 3rd party people. He seemingly isnt too interested in family talk as well.By the way, our relation is not that old we got engaged a few months ago so its a little formal for now and not via phone so far.
So guys, What topics do you like discussing with your girl?

Basically - what should i talk to him about that isnt too girlish, not boring and yet lets me know about him? I know most people would say talk what interests him but what interests him is so boyish like video games, gadgets, etc. that i know nothing about and talking about all this wouldnt really let me know much about him or what he thinks or what he feels.
And thank god for that, no? One girl is enough in the relationship. Lols.
I don’t have experience but i suppose the girl would want to discuss their future life together i.e wl u let me do this/that, i wont do this/that, we wl live seperately blah blah. Where as the guy only wants to flirt and do the love talk .
Try to find some common interests...what kind of movies, books, shows, music does he like? What is his political stance on current affairs and issues? You should be able to find some things in common. Maybe you could talk about those.

That just reminded me, one of the first things I tried to explain to my wife was why I liked a certain genre of video games. When you say girlish topics, what exactly do you mean? Whatever you mean by it, I suspect he wouldn't be interested in it either way. Another thing is that guys interested in video games would be more interested in a girl who shares their interest. You could always ask him to tell you about what he plays or what gadgets he's interested in.

Many men are equally interested in family gossip but they will not fess up to it. Also for fear of being socially stigmatized they would just listen to you but do not make any comments. When you are talking to him or telling those stories he is listening to you with full attention , but he will pretend not to. If you take a test after telling he story , he will pass with flying colors. So take heart and just keep talking to him that way you can speak about what is on your mind and he will also get his fair share of that gossip. :D
What topic a guy would like to discuss varies from person to person and there is no fix rule for it. When you start knowing a person, you automatically know this secret. So take it easy girl, no rush :-)
Actually I have seen it the other way around with the girls becoming overly excited with their fiances (first real relationship exp) while the guy is like quetta expressing running and telling her to leave him alone…
