i dont know if the OP knows this, but weed does not cause addition, not on a psychological physical level. Nothing at all like cocaine and other stronger drugs. Weed is just a matter of SELF RESTRAINT. Like giving up tea, or a particular brand of cold drink. Not even as bad as giving up smoking. Leaving smoking is way tougher than leaving weed.

From what I have seen this is becoming culture in Pakistan but mostly in college life. It generally stops afterwards. But then there is a druggie crowd which doesn’t ditch the habit.

Agreed. However, studies have shown it’s people with high IQs who tend to try recreational drugs in adulthood. It’s interesting.

As for the OP’s problem, without knowing the guy I couldn’t say for sure. I know people who occasionally smoke weed with friends. It’s not a daily thing. Some of these people are normal, others are a bit sketchy. I personally wouldn’t lie about smoking weed because once you smack people in the fact with the facts about weed (compared to cigarettes, alcohol and even sheesha), they don’t have much to say. I think this guy’s lying might be more of an issue than the weed.
