First of all Congratulations to you and Mr Maroush!
I really like the name Roman, but when I was searching names for my sisters baby who is not born yet, I couldnt find Roman as a muslim name? We want it to be a muslim name, But among all of the names my votes goes to Roman.

Re: Boy name for Pepe le Pew

If I remember correctly.....Onaysa was the name of one of Hazrat Ayesha's servants.....I believe it means "friendly" or something to that effect. I will have to find the book we took it from.....

Agree on Aaryan. Yes, I know the pronunciation is different but if you live in the West most goray will read it and their first association will be with Nazism. Though I think Aryaana for a girl is OK----I think most people here are used to seeing it spelled Ariana.

For pronunciation reasons I would stay away from Nael and Mahir---these will present big pronunciation challenges for people in the West. In America people would pronounce them "Nail" and "Ma-Heer". :) And even after you correct them 90% will never get it right.

Sulaiman does have personality! And when he's a baby you could call him Sully if you want and that would be cute. :)

What about Nadim? I always thought it's a great name but I don't see many Pakistanis using it.

Ok, no you stop woman, ziyada khush honay kee zaroorat nahi. Niks was just saying it to make you happy.

Are you sure that its not Aneesa cause Aneesa means friendly.

Re: Boy name for Pepe le Pew

No...it wasn't aneesa.....and yes, they have similar meanings

it was definitely onaisa.

Re: Boy name for Pepe le Pew

Adel:

The way goray people (and not just goray people, people from any western area) will say "Adel", he will be referred to as in the girl's name, Adel/Adele. Trust me. Wherever he goes, people will assume he's a girl and he'll mostlikely be bullied in school cause of this. You don't see many male CEOs/CFOs with girl's names. I just think it will hurt him in the long run. So just keep that in mind.

It's a lovely name, but consider Adil instead of Adel. The meaning is the same.

^ Hahaha , i remember an episode of The Simpsons. A flash back when Bart was born, Homer picked th name for him, and wanted to check if he will ever be made fun of this name. He said

Let’s see… Bart, Cart, Dart, Ee-art… Nope, can’t see any problem with that! :hehe:
