no, girls and boys can only be enemies....
there is nothing but animosity between the two - that is how it was from day zero and that is how it shall be when humanity comes to its end....

Might sound crude and cruel. But I think friendship can exist as long as one of them is butt ugly. If they are good looking people, especially the girl, then that relationship might not stop at friendship. Here I agree with PCG's fatwa that all mens are pigs. I do think that it is impossible for a guy to have a lady friend. If she is pretty, he will most definitely try to turn it into a sexual relationship. Or atleast that's what he will be thinking in his mind.
Atlanta you're very wrong. When its just about looks its lust. Not love.Dont confuse the two. When a person actually loves another- its rarely about looks.

physical attraction plays a huge role in love. There is nothing wrong with admitting that fact.
ooh they sure can, atleast with me...it has often happened to me that when i meet a girl i just feel no chemistry and im more happy to just be friends rather than tryo to have a sexual relationship..and no that girl isnt necessarily butt ugly..

But what if she likes you and stuff? How would you deal with that?
This relates to me as well, so I would also like to go ahead and answer this question.
Three of my female friends have OPENLY told me that they like me and would like to know what I think about them (ofcourse at different times and they don’t know about each other). Instead of freaking out and just avoiding them, I had a talk with them and explained to them clearly that they are nice girls and indeed very good friends, however, I’ve never thought about them that way and never would. I would like to just stay friends with them. They understood and ofcourse we see each other at university almost everyday and talk normally.
Guys and girls can be platonic friends, but im most cases one person decides to mess it up…and hence most of the time you not only lose the person you consider more than a freind, you also lose a freind too…you understand what I’m trying to get ?..tum larke party na uffffffffffff

seee now thats being normal.....I've done it once, I felt so bad, lekin I didn' t feel the same way abt the dude, and we are still good freinds :)
is it really wrong that one persno (be it the girl or guy) develops feelings for the other? we're all human... if the two of them get along well, why is it so wrong for one (or both) to develop feelings..
sure platonic relationships are great.. but if one person does eventually start liking the "friend" then why is it called messing it up.. the person should be flattered.
Afterall, dont u wish u end up marrying a person who happens to be ur closest friend? id certainly hope so...
