Re: Box Office cricketers of Pakistan!??
My list would go somewhat like this:
Imran Khan
-publicity he got during his prime years and the way he retired from one-day international cricket was just awe-inspiring and every cricketer's dream. As sambrialian once said, "Imran Khan is pakistan ka shehzada." He indeed was. Imran Khan, the name just tells all about himself that i don't need to go in details.
Javed Miandad
-his record throughout his career as a player will tell all about him being an international cricketer who represented Pakistan at the toughest times. Although his coaching and other side issues with Imran Khan and other team members didn't portray his personality as a perfect sportsman but then cricket doesn't really look at side matters.
Wasim Akram
-Wasim Akram was a bowler who could make the ball talk. His style, his action, his deliveries, his passion, his leadership, and his quality batting at the needed moments are enough to put him right after Miandad and Khan sahab. He would've been more famous if he had availed the oppurtunities in 1996 and 1999 world cups. But then he had already proved it in 1992 world cup final by scoring 36 odd runs in the end off 18 balls which was just a little more than the margin of victory. His two deliveries to Allan Lamb and Chris Lewis are as golden as Javed Miandad's six.
