once i ordered Tafseer Maariful Quran (By Shafi Usmani Saheb), the response was good, but the price was a bit high as compared to local market.

I can spare some 100 books- if you would like to have an urdu section in your city/municipal library .. you just need to bear the postage expense ..

I once tried to have it in Dublin city but they wanted to have atleast 5000 books for opening an urdu section .

This offer is not valid for personal libraries ...

Nice collection Naabigh.. I dunno if any public library in my community will take urdu books but it's a really good idea!

TLK.. I remember a short story or two from Colonel Mohammad Khan's collection in our high school/college urdu text books! It was full of humor!

Bhai, it is obvious that Ashfaq Ahmed is your favorite writer (and he is my fav too) but every book is not written by him. Gentleman Bismillah is by Ashfaq Hussain, not by Ashfaq Ahmed

Good idea. We can pick an author or a book and discuss. We had a thread on Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi and Ibn-e-Safi some time ago (and I think one on Qudratullah Shahab).

Why dont you start one!

Bapsi Sidhwa's novels (even though i'm not a fan)

Faryal Gohar - 'No Space for Further Burials' (haven't read it but heard it's good)

There was this book - "Train to Pakistan" and it was awesome but it is by an Indian author Khushwant Singh. You can give it a go too!
