Please recommend some titles for someone who loves urdu literature.. I want to compile a list of classic urdu literature as a gift to someone and need as many titles as possible!
Also, if you know of any good books in english by Pakistani authors, those recommendations will be great too.

hareem.. thats right, some of his books were on the list and so was the safar nama by Mohamaad Akhtar Mominika (sp?) that qissa teen dervashoN ka!

I have read both these books and still do when i don't have anything better to read, always seems like its the first time i'm reading them. They are absolutely superb!!
Nowadays i'm reading Seerat-e-Rasool(P.B.U.H) Arbi by Allama Baksh Tawakalli.. a must read!

I have read Tehmina Durrani's Blasphemy and Edhi's autobiography.. I liked both of them.. I want to read the fuedal lord too now!

These two are Mushatq Ahmed Yousufi’s books, not Ashfaq Ahmed’s. And the name of second book is ‘Chiragh Talay’ .. there is no ‘andhera’ in the title.
and even first one is Khaqam Ba’dahan.
Sorry for being so anal about it but Yousufi is my favorite writer ever so I am little sensitive when it comes to his work:D

UZ.. I am compiling a list for my husband (read us because I will love to read all these books too) and I will not let him read that book for the sakoon of our house.. he may get angry :D

I ordered Aab-e-gum and then few biographies of Indian/pakistani religious scholars plus Sahi Bukhari with Urdu translation. My experience was great. They shipped on time and price was well justified. I think it was from Dukandaar.com
