My 5 year old is currently reading the BOB series books and other books ordered from Scholastic. In addition, I get books from the pre-school section in the library...large photos, few words. She's making a great headway into reading now, Masha'Allah. She like stories that she can relate with, like fussy eaters stories, stories of vacations, animal stories. For some reason, she out of the fairy-tales phase now.

Dr Seuss books - most especially Cat in the Hat - have been a fave of my boys for a long time now.
Scholastic Books also has a great variety of books that can suit the interests of any little one, very good prices too.

Niksik: I won't buy BOB books yet because these books are already included in the curriculum that I'm going to buy from Kinza Academy for Reception age children.
SGS: I liked the art stuff and books from Klutz and chicken socks.
