Inspired by the novelist of the subcontinenet thread and seeing that many of u r interested in reading i was hoping that maybe a bookclub could be started. However liek all bookclubs.. this one too needs members.. and whoever wants to be a part of it plz sayMEEEEE.
If i get ppl to say MEEEEE then the members could all decide on one book.. then setting up a deadline to actually get the book and hopefully start reading it together so we can finish it together (agay peeche atleast)

i love the idea, incidentally. :k: i think my taste is pretty much the same as your’s (and Shinoo’s) so it does not matter to me which book is picked. A bookclub is a nice idea :k:

No, no, no Deviliciousss Please start your own book club - i am honoured to be a part of it. Mine was initiated a long, long time ago and it didn’t really take off! To be honest i would much rather prefer a fresh new initiative rather than recycle an old one. Masha’Allah you have already gotten a handful of dedicated responses already :k: i love your idea and i support it 100%.

By the time the first book is decided upon, if more have not joined - then it is quite possible that they will join subsequent to the book discussions they will read in this Forum. Maybe word just needs to get out a bit more - your thread in Cafe should help a lot. :k: (You already got Sadzz :k: ).
hmmm i’ll come back with some suggestions of books - my sister has a huge collection (most of which i had been planning on finishing by this time but never got around to, unfortunately). Plus i’ll look around on the 'net for some interesting south asian titles.
i am sure others in this thread have some interesting suggestions as well of books they would like to discuss - hopefully by the end of this week there will be lots more suggestions from everyone else, Insha’Allah
i read the god of small things.. and it was great.. im willign to read it again.. cuz there's stuff that i dint understand and theres themes that will eb interesting to discuss... its def a good book...
so im up for it too..
