Bomb explodes at gathering of Shiite Muslims in Pakistan; 15 reported dead
QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) - A powerful bomb exploded Saturday at a gathering of minority Shiite Muslims in a remote town in southwestern Pakistan, killing at least 15 people and wounding 25 others, police said.
The bomb exploded outside the shrine of a Shiite saint near the town of Naseerabad, about 350 kilometres south of Quetta, said Merab Khan, a local police official.

^It's not a question of "Shia.Sunnis"......It's a question of "innocent lives".......& Most of us know who is "particularly interested" in taking away these "innocent Pakistani lives"......

^ they don't get it. Every time shia are dead they blame on extemists sunnis but when there is a bomb blast in sunni mosque they have nothong to talk about. I have said this from the beginning it's neither sunnis nor shias it the work of Pakistan and Islam haters.

Well I don’t keep track of attack on mosques but there are several sunni mosques shooting incidents if not bombing. The latest one was in November
But that’s beside the point when Sunnis were attacked last time. Sunnis are getting killed in Iraq everyday whether in mosques or near police station but they don’t run around blaming everything on shias.

Sheraz bhai I can understand your anger but blaming it on Sunnis is not right. These "extremist Sunnis" who kill Shias in mosques are not extremist "sunnis". In Islam there is no "extremist", we are all Muslims.
The people who kill people in mosques are not shias or sunnis. They are simply "terrorists".

why would i want sunnis to be killed? my point was that the killings are only one sided..you live in karachi so you should know..its sad that an average sunni doesnt see who is behind all this..dr. shahid who comes on ARY was interviewing former isi cheif and he said "come on you gotta admin you guys were behind some of these secreterian stuff in pakistan" ..atleast he knows whats going on in pakistan

And just b/c someone does something in the name of Islam doesn't mean what he's doing is right. After all, in Karbala, Yazeed was also fighting in the name of ISLAM and he was also Muslim.
In Islam, how can someone be an "extremist"? You either follow the rules or you don't. This whole "extremist" concept has been introduced by the western media as propaganda, atleast we Muslims should not be using it.

agent smith..good try but not good enough..u don't keep track because there is hardly any attack on sunnis..once in a while if there is such an attack it is usually at the leaders who are behind the killings of shias..there has never been a suicide attack on sunni mosque for sure...and if there is some sort of attack, its probably out of revenge, anger, frustration etc

sheraz: why do you always have to play the victim card? I have never heard a word of remorse from you when other muslims are killed by shia extremists. In fact you condone the killings and justify them, as part of revenge i.e Azam Tariq's. Even if the guy was an evil, still the justice should have dealt with him and not the terrorists of Tehrik-e-Jafria.
I have mentioned before that the shia sunni violence in Quetta and other pakhtoon majority areas has a lot to do with the situation in Afghanistan. These acts are mostly committed to avenge the Northern Alliance's (predominantly shias) killings and gross attrocities against the Pakhtoons in the Southern portions of the country. Yes, in cooperation with the Americans, just like the Allawis in Iraq
Since, there's a huge population of Afghans (pakhtoons) in Quetta, the opponents; the Hazaras (mostly shias) become the target.
The other factor maybe, the ongoing military confrontation between the bugtis and the army. Don't forget that they have been indulged in terrorism more than any other group. So, think rationally and see where your shia brothers maybe going wrong before blatantly pointing fingers..

northern alliance killed the talibans and talibans killed them when they were in power...but this wahabi fitna is not just killing the shias in quetta..its all over

so, there's justice for you now. what, in fact the motive behind this bombing is to avenge the killing of Azam Tariq ? Who stands to lose now ? the shias, the sunnis, the muslims or the Pakistanis ?
How easily you are justifying revenge. Learn to be tolerant, and for once embrace the fact that revenge and extremism would only lead to more blood-shed..
